“How noisy.” Ying Zijin said aloofly, “Be quiet.”

“What kind of attitude is that?” Doctor Lu slammed the folder in her hand on the table and said with a sneer, “Lu Wei, I’m sorry, but because of her attitude, I won’t treat her illness anymore.”

Ying Zijin adjusted her clothes slowly and said, “The door is over there.”

Doctor Lu originally wanted the girl to beg her, but she didn’t expect this response. Her face burned as she said, “Why are you acting so smug when you even seduced your uncle?” With that, she left in a hurry.

“Jin!” Ying Luwei scolded. “Doctor Lu is an expert sanatorium doctor. If you anger her into leaving, what about your treatment?”

“Yes, she’s an expert in glucose transfusion.” Ying Zijin said calmly, “Those who don’t know might think that I’m going to undergo some major surgery.”

Ying Luwei’s heart skipped a beat. “Little Jin?”

Ying Zijin propped herself up on the bed and said, “But what that expert said makes sense. I also want to know who pushed you down. Those who do evil will eventually give themselves away.”

She picked up the phone by the bed and looked at the woman as she asked, “Don’t you think so?”

The girl’s imposing aura intimidated Ying Luwei, who frowned and said unhappily, “Little Jin, you really can’t be so willful anymore. I don’t care if you hurt me or not, but if you continue like this, how can I protect you if you offend a big shot one day?”

“Then I’ll have to thank you first. I heard that you specifically chose this ward for me.” Ying Zijin raised her head and looked at the door number with a smile. “The number is quite auspicious.”

With that, she walked out of ward 914 without looking at the woman’s expression.

Ying Luwei bit her lip with a dark expression.

After she thought for a moment, she took out her phone to dial a number. After the call was answered, she said in a low voice, “Moyuan, Jin usually listens to you the most, so can you help me persuade her?”

The person on the other end of the line didn’t expect to hear this. After a moment of silence, he said coldly, “Take good care of yourself and don’t worry about her. If she pushes her luck again, I’ll send her away.”

As the wind blew and snow fluttered, the ground was covered in white snow.

Hucheng was situated along the coastline. There was usually no snow even in late winter, but this year, it was snowing in late January. Snowflakes filled the night sky and the temperature was very cold.

At nine o’clock in the evening, the streets were bustling and filled with people.

The girl was only wearing a black shirt and her long legs were shapely. She carried a shoulder bag as she walked slowly and she looked extremely out of place in her surroundings.

Her face was pale, but it didn’t diminish her beauty. Occasionally, a neon light would flash across her eyes, as if stars were blooming in her eyes.

Across the street—

“Hey, Seventh Young Master.” Nie Chao’s gaze focused and he nudged the waist of the person beside him as he asked, “Guess who I saw?”

“Huh?” The man said with an aloof expression, “You saw your ex again?”

As he leaned against the wall, his tall figure and his lazy posture gave him the vibe of a spoiled rich kid.

His slim fingers were fiddling with a thumb ring and his porcelain hand was even smoother than jade.

The wind and snow blurred his sight, but it didn’t prevent him from seeing the girl’s beauty. Instead, it made the girl stand out in the crowd even more.

The man had a pair of mirthful and charming eyes that were slightly curved. Whenever he looked at people, his eyes appeared to be filled with affection and seductiveness.

He was born to be a homme fatale.

Nie Chao thought to himself, no wonder those socialites all became so smitten when they saw such a face. Even a man like him couldn’t help but feel enamored.

“Ex? I never get back together with my exes. I saw the Ying family’s girl who was adopted a few months ago.”

The man hummed absent-mindedly. His right leg was slightly bent, and his handsome side-profile caused passers-by to turn heads.

Nie Chao knew that the man wasn’t interested in this topic, so he said, “You just came back, so you don’t know the details, but this adopted daughter of the Ying family seduced her aunt’s fiancé.”

The man raised his eyebrows slightly and finally reacted. “Jiang Moyuan?”

“It’s him.” Nie Chao clicked his tongue as he said, “She’s really bold.”

Jiang Moyuan was a generation above them, but he was only five or six years older. He wasn’t even thirty years old yet, but he was already the head of the company. Everyone in Hucheng would respectfully address him as ‘Third Master Jiang’.

Jiang Moyuan and Ying Luwei were considered well-matched in terms of social status. They were both from blue blood families. One was the number one socialite in Hucheng, and the other was the man that socialites wanted to marry the most.

Nie Chao sighed as he said, “Seventh Young Master, if you did your job properly, with your good looks, they would definitely want to marry you the most.”
