Chapter 7: Head Patting

After he approached, his extremely handsome face was right in front of her.

With his amorous and mirthful eyes, he was irresistibly charming.

“Cough, cough, cough!” Shocked by his shamelessness, Nie Chao choked on his food. “Seventh Young Master, have some sense of shame.”

Who would flirt with a little girl like this?

Supporting her chin with her hand, Ying Zijin looked up and said with a calm expression, “You are pretty good-looking.”

Nie Chao was speechless.

It took two to tango, so what could he say?

“Kids who tell the truth are cute.” Fu Yunshen stood up and said aloofly, “Then I’ll be a good person until the end. I’ll send you home.”

Just as Nie Chao was about to ask Fu Yunshen what to do, he was silenced by a look from him.

Alright, he would leave on his own.

Sob, buddies had no human rights compared to women.

Nie Chao followed behind sadly.

Ying Zijin thought for a moment and said, “There’s no need for the trouble. After all, I already owe you guys enough for all your help.”

Other than Fu Yunshen’s age and name, she couldn’t divine any other important information about Fu Yunshen. Perhaps it was because her ability hadn’t recovered, or perhaps…

It was better to stay as far away as possible from him.

“Huh?” Fu Yunshen had just taken out his car keys. When he heard this, he smiled. “Why do you owe us? Didn’t you remind Nie Chao? Isn’t this a fair trade?”

After he paused, he smiled and said. “How about this, little friend? If you really think you owe me, why don’t you tell me about the gossip in Hucheng?”

Ying Zijin raised her eyebrows at him and asked, “Gossip?”

She knew what gossip meant. It represented interesting news and rumors. It had nothing to do with divination.

It seemed that there were a lot of new things she needed to learn about the twenty-first century.

“I just came back.” Fu Yunshen placed his hand on the car door as he asked, “How is it? Satisfy my curiosity.”

He raised his hand in a gesture of invitation.

Ying Zijin’s gaze froze.

When she first came to Earth, she had stayed in Continent O for 300 years. During that period, she had traveled the entire Continent O with different identities, so she knew all the etiquette of the royal family in Continent O.

This gesture originated from the royal family of Country Y, but it was abandoned in the first half of the 16th century.

“If you don’t get in the car quickly, your uncle-in-law will come out later.” Fu Yunshen looked sideways. “I have no power or influence. What if he captures the two of us?”

These words made the girl make a decisive choice and sit in the front passenger seat.

Fu Yunshen raised his eyebrows. “Is Jiang Moyuan that intimidating? Little kid, you’ve broken my heart once again.”

Ying Zijin said indifferently, “I just want to avoid trouble.”

Fu Yunshen was stunned for a moment. Clearly, he didn’t expect to hear such an answer. Then, he looked up and chuckled.

Light shone past the man’s fine black hair and moved down, giving his eyes and eyebrows a light golden glow.

His red lips formed a clear contrast with his fair skin and he had a devilish sort of charm.

He rolled up the car window and asked, “I heard that Jiang Moyuan brought you from Clear Water County to Hucheng?”

“Yes.” Ying Zijin recalled. “He said that he would send me to Qingzhi to study.”

Qingzhi High School was the number one high school in Hucheng. All the students from the elite class could enter Imperial Capital University. Moreover, the rate of students getting accepted to first-tier universities was above 98%. Parents strived to send their children to Qingzhi High School.

Ying Zijin looked out of the window and narrowed her eyes as she said, “I got into a car accident on the way there and was hospitalized.”

The car accident didn’t cause any fatal injuries, but the Ying family discovered her existence because she had the extremely rare Rhnull blood type, exactly the same as Ying Luwei.

This blood type was also known as the universal blood type. People with this blood type could transfuse blood to people with any other blood type, but if people with Rhnull blood type needed blood, they could only receive transfusions from those with the same blood type.

There were less than 100 people with Rhnull blood type in the world. Even the Ying family couldn’t provide enough blood when Ying Luwei was injured.

She happened to be a suitable candidate.

Fu Yunshen’s fingers froze slightly as he asked, “Because of this, the Ying family adopted you?”

Ying Zijin supported her head with her hand and replied nonchalantly, as if it had nothing to do with her. “Why not accept a blood bank that came knocking on their door?”

The Rnull blood type had another special feature. People with Rnull blood type could only have blood drawn once. After being drawn, it would produce antibodies.

If blood was forcibly drawn a second time, the person would die.

But she wouldn’t.

That was why the Ying family had been raising her.

After Fu Yunshen turned his head and stared at her for two seconds, he suddenly raised his hand and patted her head.

Like a kitten.

Ying Zijin slowly turned her head with an impassive expression and killing intent appeared in her eyes. “What are you doing?”

“I told you not to worry too much about it.” Fu Yunshen seemed to be in a good mood and he curled his lips as he said, “Fasten your seatbelt. We’re leaving.”

**

Thirty minutes later, the car stopped in the mountainous villa area.

“Remember to rest early.” As Fu Yunshen looked at the girl who got out of the car, he reminded, “Drink more cinnamon and red date soup.”

Ying Zijin’s eyelashes fluttered as she said, “I understand. Thank you.”

“After hearing you thank me so many times in a day, my ears are getting calluses.” The man placed his slender forearms on the car window and said with a chuckle, “If you really want to thank me, you can read my fortune later.”

Ying Zijin rubbed her head and said helplessly, “Alright.”

When Fu Yunshen heard this, he thought of something and fell into deep thought.

He didn’t leave immediately. Instead, he added, “Alright, go rest. It’s too dark, so I’ll watch you leave.”

Ying Zijin nodded. “You too.”

After saying goodbye, she turned around and walked into the villa.

Before she reached the villa, the door was opened and the butler of the old residence came out.

His gaze was stern and scrutinizing as he said, “Miss Ying, you’re finally willing to come back?”

As the girl stood at the foot of the stairs, her long eyelashes were covered in a layer of frost, and snow had fallen all over her hair.

Her wrist was so fair that her blood vessels were visible. Her body was so thin that it seemed like a gust of wind was enough to blow her away.

The butler frowned, but he didn’t forget what the person in the room had instructed him.

He said, “Madam said that since you’re so rebellious and willful as to leave the hospital, don’t come home tonight.”

“You won’t be able to enter until you admit your mistake.”

“Second Miss, please go ahead.”

His tone was full of mockery.

The butler’s expression was filled with displeasure and annoyance.

This Second Miss only knew how to cause trouble all day long, so she should suffer punishment.

He wanted to see how long she could last in such heavy snow.

Unexpectedly, when she heard this, the girl didn’t even look at him. She turned around and left without any hesitation.

The butler was stunned.

Why did she leave just like that?

Shouldn’t she be crying and apologizing while begging for forgiveness?

He knew that the Madam’s real intention wasn’t to punish Second Miss Ying. She just wanted her to understand the hierarchy of seniority and make fewer mistakes.

If he really let Second Miss Ying leave, he would be the one to be punished.

The butler quickly stepped forward and stood in front of the girl with displeasure. “Second Miss Ying, where do you plan to go? Don’t be willful anymore. Won’t everything be fine if you admit your mistake?”
