Chapter 8 Part 2 The Dragons Blow

The people who had been looking at me as if they were looking at someone strange until then, were so taken by Eva’s behavior that most of them broke into a smile and watched me.

That smitten atmosphere was–

“Please stop!”

Suddenly, a woman’s impatient call shattered it.

Everyone in the room turned towards the girl.

A group of men and a woman were tussling in the front of a bar a few steps away.

The man was grabbing the woman’s arm, snickering and engaging with her, even though she obviously hated it.

“That’s great. You’re from last night, right?”

“Please don’t misunderstand me!, it was a restaurant, a bar, and I was just serving drinks!

“Don’t be shy now. You smiled at me, didn’t you?

“I DO THAT TO ALL THE CUSTOMERS.”

“Now now, don’t be shy.”

The girl shrieked even louder.

The man clutched her arm, pulled her close, and started squeezing her buttocks.

” Stop it, please!

“Hmmm, are you feeling it already? Hmmm?

“I don’t want this! Somebody help me! Somebody, please help me!”

The girl called for help.

The people around her seemed to be struggling with whether or not to intervene, though they didn’t pretend to be ignorant of the situation.

I can’t overlook this.

“That’s enough.”

I approached him and stopped him.

“What?”

“Stop that.

“What are you doing, boy, pretending to be on the side of justice? You can go home and play with your puppy.”

“If you say that I’m acting on the side of justice, it’s because you know you’re doing evil.”

“What!”

The man gasped.

He stopped and stared at me.

“I’ll let you off the hook, for now, kid. Grownups are dangerous.”

“You let her go now!”

“Don’t be silly!

The man swung his leg up.

He tried to kick me as if he were kicking a ball or something.

I quickly avoided him. It was easy to evade because the man was holding the woman and moving slowly.

“It’s no use. Eva.”

I sighed and called out her name.

“KYU.”

She came to my side and gazed up at me.

I looked around.

The size of the street and the number of people around.

Not much of a room. ……

“Just your paws–can you do it?”

“kyu”

Eva nodded vigorously.

“Yeah?”

I nodded back, crouched down, and gently touched Eva.

“Don’t be silly, kid!

The man pushed the girl aside and lunged at me.

In the next moment, Eva’s body shimmered as I poured my magic into her.

And then – it grew.

One of her paws swelled up, and she returned to her adult form as the Red Dragon.

The giant paw that had suddenly appeared struck the man with a “flick”.

The Red Dragon’s “flick,” but in actuality, it was a ” boom!

With such power that the whole ground trembled slightly, it squashed the man.

It was a plain move, but the magnitude of it was overwhelming, and the man was crushed to the ground.

When Eva moved her paw away, the man jerked and twitched, his legs and arms bent in ways they were not supposed to be.

Well, it’s not a lethal injury, I guess.

“That’s enough.

“Kryuu.”

Eva gave a nod and returned her paws to their original chibi form.

“”…………””

I realized that everybody around me was in a state of disbelief.

They all gulped and looked at me like they couldn’t believe what they were witnessing.

Slowly, the words began to leak out in a whisper.

“What the hell is …… that thing?”

“It’s a monster, it’s a monster!”

“What are you talking about? It’s so adorable!”

“But it’s a damm monster, a monster!”

A part of me was truly terrified of Eva.

No surprise there.

She looks like a cute and adorable little puppy now, but just before that she had paws that were tens of times bigger than her body.

Normally, people would be terrified.

Eva didn’t seem to care about such horror around her.

“Good job.”

“kyuuu!”

As if the words of appreciation I gave her made her jump and pounce on me as if she was happier than the strawberry I just gave her.

“See? you’re still the cute little adorable Eva”

“kyuu. ……”

“Thanks for the ……, .”

I raised my head when I heard a voice talking to me.

Then the girl who had been caught in the middle of it came up to me and thanked me.

“Thank you for saving my life.

“You’re very welcome. Are you okay?”

I said, looking at the collapsed man.

“I’ll frighten him a bit more to ensure he doesn’t do any more harm.”

“That’s all right. My boss is a frightening man. I’ll tell the boss and he’ll take care of it.

I accepted.

Many of the owners of this kind of bar are, as she said, “scary people.”

“Thank you, sir.”

The woman once again said, and bent down to give me a quick kiss on the cheek.

She smelt good, and I was a tad bit …… delighted.
