Isabella-sama who became my master from today, thought it would be okay if she didn’t modify it too much, so she skewered the chicken-like kuku bird and onions cut into bite-sized pieces alternately, sprinkled salt and grilled it with excitement. The figure of the young lady shaking her dazzling golden fluffy hair and watching the kuku bird cook while humming was very happy, and I could see her cheeks naturally loosening.

Alongside the lady, I leisurely watched the kuku birds cooked. I could hear the babbling of the stream flowing right next to us, the voices of birds, and the sound of the fire that sometimes crackled. Looking at the distant mansion, the gardener was sitting in the flower bed and drinking tea.

Isn’t this the first time in my life that I’ve had such a peaceful time? Just not being able to hear my selfish sister’s hysterical shouting is enough to spend a peaceful time, but I also feel a little nervous and calm at a time that is more peaceful than I want.

“Is it about time for it to finish baking?”

I suddenly came back to the voice of the young lady who stood up next to me. It was dangerous, it was a deadly calm time and I was stunned.

I watched the grilling of the kuku bird by the young lady. It was a kuku bird that was cooking smoothly, but as it was baked at the best time to eat it, it began to turn into sludge and melted down from the skewer. Why?! I hurriedly brought a small plate and caught the sludge melting from the skewer. When I looked sideways at the young lady, she was stunned with her small mouth open. The stunned face is a little cute. It’s strange and I don’t know the reason why the ingredients turn into sludge, but to be honest, I can’t stop getting excited. I’m sorry for Isabella-ojousama, who is shocked, but I’m looking forward to seeing what flavor of sludge is next.

I made the shocked young lady sit in the chair as I lined up small plates under the melting sludge. In the end, the kuku birds and onions completely turned into sludge, and only burnt skewers remained around the fire.

“I’m sorry, Anne. This time, I wanted to feed you decent food. . .”

After recovering from the shock, the young lady stood up from her chair and apologized. It seems that the energetic young lady couldn’t hide her depression in the situation where she created sludge five times in a row. She, who failed to cook (?), is in the position of a duke’s daughter, so there’s no need for her to apologize to me as a servant.

The young lady pointed the blond head swirl that reflects the glitter of the sun at me, and entangled the fingers of her hands. Huh, the depressed young lady is also kind of cute. She looks like a doll or a fairy, but the small slightly moving figure looks like a golden chick. It’s also a pity if the cute chick is depressed forever, so I comforted her.

“There is no need for ojousama to apologize. And the taste is certain, so please be confident. I don’t know what ojousama’s food is from looking at it, so I think it’s the only dish in the world that has entertainment that you can anticipate it and be surprised when you eat it. I love ojousama’s cooking.”

Then the young lady looked up at me timidly, and opened her mouth anxiously.

“Really? But when I become Ursch-kun’s bride in the future, won’t he hate sludge that you can’t even identify until you eat it if it’s lined up on the table every time?”

I would be happy if it were me, but what ojousama wants to hear is not that kind of opinion. But according to my prediction, I think the boy with slitted eyes will be happy to drink it up even if it’s a bad sludge if it’s ojousama’s cooking.

“I think Ursch-sama wants to spend time making magic items, so isn’t it useful for ojousama’s food that can nourish immediately?”

“But he finished eating it right away, the break time will be reduced and the work time will be longer. Ursch-kun is already rooted in his work.”

“If that’s the case, why don’t you ask Ursch-sama to eat solid food and ask him to cook from time to time and interrupt the production work? It will be a change of pace, and if you prepare dishes and tea and stand in the kitchen together, you can spend time together like collaborative work.”

When ojousama heard that, she nodded and started to consider it.

Oh, wait a minute.

“Ojousama, can you make tea?”

“Tea is fine. I can brew it without any problems. After that, that’s right. . . the juice made by squeezing fruits is also fine.”

If it’s liquid, you can make it without any problems, but when it becomes a solid dish, it becomes sludge.

“Then how about soup?”

“The soup melts and turns into sludge as well, and the potage type is good up to the the end, but it turns into sludge while mixing through the heat, so I can’t do it.”

It’s really no good when it’s ‘cooking’. . . I wonder why. . .

The two of us thought about it for a while, but I don’t know, so i decided to eat the newly made sludge for the time being.

The sludge, which was supposed to be a kuku bird and onion skewer, was a taste I had never eaten before, but it was very delicious. What is it? I felt a mellow taste with a little salt. Is it shellfish? And the flavor of butter and a little pepper? When I was thinking about it, ojousama murmured with sludge in her mouth.

“It tastes like butter-grilled mumuru shellfish.”

According to ojousama, it’s the taste of a dish made by steaming shellfish called mumuru shelfish on an iron plate with butter and sake. I see, the dish called butter-grilled mumuru shellfish tastes like this. I didn’t know because I had never eaten it.

“I’m looking forward to that crispy texture and the and drinking the butter soup accumulated in the shell, but it’s boring to reproduce only the taste and smell.”

For me, I think it’s amazing just to bring out the flavor of shellfish with kuku bird and onions, but ojousama seemed to be sorry. Among the things I’ve eaten in my past twelve years, the sludge she makes is nothing but a feast, so there’s no problem even if it looks like sludge. It’s different compared to what I’ve eaten so far. By the way, ojousama’s sludge is like clouds. It looks muddy though. I was allowed to eat a normal meal while I was at the Schneiver house, but the food made by the boy with slitted eyes was creepy and I didn’t feel like eating, and the sludge that ojousama cooked is more delicious.

Come to think of it, I don’t remember eating food that seemed delicious in the place where I lived so far. In order to replace a young lady, the taste was secondary to nutrition, and when I continued to be trained to raise my level, sometimes I sipped muddy water. Sometimes I was given sweets and proper food on a whim, but it kept being taken away by my twin sister who was better than me, and it didn’t make it into my mouth.

As I kept being robbed, I couldn’t be positive about taking away someone’s life somewhere, unlike my sister who could take people’s things as a matter of course. Sooner or later, I didn’t get into training and fell behind, and there was a difference in treatment if I was not good compared to my twin sister, and my living environment got worse. My older sister Mary was treated like a princess, and I was despised as incompetent.

I didn’t want to be born as a replacement changeling. Grow up like a normal child, learn, and work normally. I dreamed of such a life. I don’t have to live a luxurious life by turning into a noble lady somewhere. I don’t want anything to do with the dark guild, I want to live a normal life.

So this time, I have to thank my sister for taking me away.

She wanted to go back to the dark guild that treats her like a princess rather than having a normal job arranged and living a normal life.

I was intrigued by that boy with slitted eyes and replaced my sister with me.

But when you switched with me and went back to the dark guild, did you think they would welcome you with open arms? You’ve heard it many times. Once we activate it, our abilities will always be activated, so we won’t be able to get out of the body once we got in. That’s why they found out about the replacement and failed the mission. They’ll cut you off when you’re trapped, so I told you to stay with that intention over and over again.

And yet she believed in the false words he said, “If you are identical twins, even if you switch, you have the same body as yourself, so unlike replacing someone else’s body, it’s invalid because you have the same abilities.” She is a sister that only listens and believes in what’s convenient for her, so she really accepted it.

Because my sister used her abilities in vain, our ability to replace has disappeared. And by replacing my sister, I was able to escape from the guild without doing anything.

From now on, I will live the normal life I wanted with my sister’s body. While being healed by a young lady like a chick, I work as an ordinary maid.

Well then, sister. Please take care.

The author has something to say:

Actually, as Ursch said, even if they switch as twins, it would be invalid and their abilities wouldn’t disappear. However, when Mary activated the skill, Ursch evolved his [Envy] into [Envy King] and the fragment of Envy King turned into [Possession]. Because of the activation condition, Ursch needed to see the [Heart of the Envy King] activated before he could evolve [Envy] into [Envy King]. Isabella would be sad if someone was sacrificed, but as twins, they look the same even if they switch, so there’s no problem. It was carried out with Ursch’s arbitrary judgment and prejudice.

My usual rant:

In other words, Ursch found a loophole to get around feeling guilty because of Isabella’s feelings so that he could get [Envy King] and protect Isabella from having her body switched. I’m glad that Anne is a good person and truly just wants to be Isabella’s maid. Things seemed to work out well for her thanks to Ursch’s desire to get the skill and protect Isabella. I hope she lives a nice happy life as Isabella’s personal maid. Tomorrow we start the ‘Is this really an otome game?’ arc! Let’s see what a teenage Isabella and Ursch are like.
