There was silence in the room as Lan Yu showed the injection needle in his hand and asked Mrs. Wang, “Do you know what this is?”

Mrs. Wang blanched and shook her head.

“This is K5 developed for Lontan Planet people—”

“HR5,” Lu RanKong interjected.

Lan Yu sneered, “This KR5, maybe you’ve heard of it. It’s easy to figure out if someone’s a Lontan Planet person, just stick a needle in them and you’ll know.”

Lu RanKong wanted to say something but shut up.

Lan Yu raised his hand, and the snowy tip of the needle was placed against Mrs. Wang’s neck.

At that moment, Mrs. Wang suddenly moved swiftly, and in the next second, Wang Wei was in a chokehold with a dagger against his throat.

“Let me go, or I’ll kill him.” There was an extra vocal line in her voice, hoarse and unpleasant, as if two people were vocalizing at the same time.

Wang Wei lips trembled, “Li Han, you… you’re not Li Han! What did you do to Li Han?!”

“Shut up!” Mrs. Wang’s hand passed forward and a dark red ran down his neck.

Lu RanKong raised his gun and aimed, “She’s not your wife anymore, she’s the Lontan Planet person we’re looking for.”

Wang Wei’s face was pale and his lips were shivering. He was much taller than Mrs. Wang, but he was choked and couldn’t break free, so he had to follow hier back to the window. Lan Yu stared at Mrs. Wang’s movements, clasping the injection in his hand, and slowly leaned toward the door with Lu RanKong.

Mrs. Wang stood by the open carved mahogany window, smiling sweetly with an indescribably eerie expression. She opened her mouth and the twin voices rang out simultaneously, “Colonel K, Colonel Lu, see you later.”

As soon as the words left her mouth, a translucent, humanoid green shadow emerged from her body and burst out of the window like a puff of smoke, running and solidifying into a green-skinned person.

Mrs. Wang’s eyes were closed and she fell lifelessly to the ground.

Lan Yu and Lu RanKong rushed out of the entrance just in time to see the green-skinned man flash out of the villa’s iron gate.

Outside the villa, red lights were flashing and a police cordon had been set up, with seven or eight police officers surrounding the body of the insect king on the stone fence to the right, and two record-keepers standing at the gate.

Lu RanKong had just raised his gun to the front when the green-skinned man stopped in front of one of the policemen. Before he had time to react, it pounced on him and dissolved into smoke, disappearing in the air.

The policeman’s body shuddered, spasming with his hands to cover his head, and the record folder fell to the ground.

Seeing how the Lontan Planet man burrowed into his mental domain, Lu RanKong didn’t dare to shoot.

“K!” he shouted.

“I know…” Lan Yu dashed past him holding the syringe and rushed forward.

At the same time, the policeman stopped spasming and darted ahead, apparently caught off guard, as the Lontan Planet person took control of his body.

A peripheral policeman was looking at the alley outside the iron fence and smoking, sitting under the fence of the villa area and leaning against the half-height landscape stone. Just as he brought his cigarette to his lips, he heard footsteps coming from the boulevard from the direction of the villa. He turned his head and saw a colleague in charge of record-keeping running towards him, unimaginably fast, and in the blink of an eye he was in front of him.

The colleague’s face was expressionless, as if he didn’t see anyone here, one of his feet stepped on the scenic stone at his side, the other on his head, finally landing with a thud in the alley outside the fence, and then running forward with great speed.

The policeman standing at the gate froze, but before he could react, he heard the sound of running again from the end of the boulevard. Two handsome soldiers in field uniforms were also coming straight at him, taking turns to straddle his head and landed outside the fence as easily as two rooks.

Then chased that colleague, one of them still holding a gun in his hand.

The cigarette in the mouth of the policeman outside snapped and fell to the ground.

“I handed you the syringe. That little crying girl obviously wasn’t it, but you still delayed!” Lu RanKong complained about the man at his side as he ran.

Lan Yu kept his footsteps and argued back, “You said that if there is no Lontan Planet person in the body, the person will die if I inject it. Do I dare to do it just because of a few words from a little girl? What if I’m wrong?”

The alley was narrow and there were two slow pedestrians blocking the road.

“Coming through!” Lu RanKong shouted, and went through between the two, as he continued, “And what five rows and five cinnamon? How would you even know that? You also slowly lifted it up, like you were in slow-motion. Do you think you’re making a movie?”

Lan Yu followed closely behind and coldly retorted, “First of all, a human life is at stake, so I didn’t want to be mistaken. Second of all, it is five stitches colored, two stitches cinnamon.”

A few empty baskets were stacked in the shadow of the alleyway ahead, and Lu RanKong could have just jumped over, but looking sideways at the shadow of the people behind him, he kicked the baskets away. He ran and kept talking, “Colonel K actually knows that human life is at stake? That’s rare…”

Lan Yu sneered back, “Thank you, thank you. You were afraid to shoot for half a day so you’re a little worse.”

“I’m afraid of accidentally injuring someone.”

“And I can’t be afraid?” Lan Yu drilled through a bamboo pole with a bed sheet hanging out to dry.

“You just weren’t decisive enough to begin with and missed the best time by being afraid.”

“How can you not be decisive?”

A bicycle fell to the ground and Lu RanKong abruptly reached out to block Lan Yu, who was rushing forward, and after both of them jumped over, he continued, “Didn’t I give you the injection? It’s because I trust you very much.”

“If it were up to you, you could’ve arrested him on the spot.”

“All right, all right, I’m not arguing with you.”

“Who wants to argue with you?”

Both men shut their mouths and kept chasing in silence.

The alley wasn’t long and the street was just outside. The policeman kept a distance of several dozen meters from them and turned to the right after rushing out. Lan Yu also followed as they both rushed out of the alleyway, and arrived at the street.

The street was remote, and although it was only 10 p.m., there were no pedestrians. The stores were closed on both sides and their glass doors were locked.

The three men’s rapid footsteps broke the silence, and in no time at all, they ran across two streets. A simple bus stop appeared in front of the right with one of the two light boxes blacked out, and the other above had an advertisement with a woman on it, who was smiling with some brand of inhibitors.

The Lontan Planet person ran to the light box, and then stopped and stumbled two steps. Then, his body gave a pendulum-like violent shake, and his hand and foot on the same side reached forward, looking very strange.

“The policeman is starting to counterattack, fighting with him for body ownership.” Lu RanKong asked eagerly, “Is the needle ready?”

“It’s ready…”

Just then, a bus stopped by the light box and the door banged open.

The two men watched as a green shadow detached itself from the policeman and flashed silently onto the bus.

The bus driver looked to the side, saw no one else on the platform, and looked in the rearview mirror at all the drowsy passengers, then closed the door. As the bus slowly started to leave, the police officer who was standing behind the light box with his head hanging went limp and fell straight backwards.

Lan Yu brushed right past them and went after the bus that was leaving.

The bus gradually accelerated, and Lan Yu ran behind it at a fast pace, his arms swinging rhythmically. The wind whistled past his ears with a whirring sound, and the veins on the side of his forehead bulged and throbbed.

Seeing that the bus was about to leave the street, he pulled out his gun and aimed at the rearview mirror on the driver’s side.

He just needed to aim, then retracted before opening the terminal on his wrist, turning on the strong light to shine in the rearview mirror with a frequency flash.

Once… twice… three times.

Finally, the bus slowed down and stopped at the side of the road.

Lan Yu rushed forward and flashed his officer ID at the driver by the window, “Colonel K, 2nd mecha battalion, Kata Planet Force. I need to get on the bus for inspection, please cooperate.”

The driver opened the front door without saying a word, and Lan Yu rushed up the moment the door opened and blocked the doorway of the bus.

He slowly scanned the interior.

The green shadow unsurprisingly disappeared, and the bus was almost empty with only five passengers sitting sparsely. Looking at their age and their clothes, respectively, an old man, two students, a burly man, and a middle-aged lady. Seeing them all looking at him with the same kind of expression, both nervousness and fear, Lan Yu knew in his heart that the green man had possessed one of them and was temporarily in control of the body.

Lu RanKong also rushed over at this time, as Lan Yu took a step forward and left the bus door open.

When he got onto the bus, Lan Yu turned his head to the driver and said, “Drive the bus to that brightest place in front and turn on all the lights inside. Close the door tightly, don’t let anyone open it. No matter what happens, you are not allowed to open the door.”

The driver had obviously heard of K, so he didn’t ask any questions, and immediately turned on all the lights inside, then started the vehicle to drive under the street light.

“Don’t panic, we’re just looking for a fugitive, and when we find them, you can go home.” Lu RanKong explained.

He and Lan Yu stood left and right on either side of the front of the bus, their hawk-like eyes passing over each person’s face.

Two Omega students in school uniforms clutched their school bags and leaned close to each other. The middle-aged older lady in a floral half-skirt wanted to ask but didn’t dare to speak, simply looked down at her feet. The old man was just about to open his mouth when he met Lan Yu’s gaze and closed his mouth again. Only the burly, tattooed man in short sleeves and shorts looked around nervously and with excitement.

Lan Yu looked at Lu RanKong with a questioning look, and then extended his left hand, slowly closing his fingers and holding it.

——How can this be investigated? Even if we found out where they were from, we wouldn’t know if it was true. Why don’t we take them all to the police station?

Lu RanKong wrapped his hand around his chest, his face was sullen and he was shaking his head.

——What are you thinking? Do you want to kill the whole bus? How can you be so brutal?

Then he looked out the back window and gave a look to the police officer who was still unconscious by the bus stop.

——We should simply take them to the police station, where we can get the information out of them and verify it one by one. If they stay here, they will not be able to be interrogated.

Lan Yu nodded, indicating that he understood, and then coldly instructed the driver, “Reverse the bus and go right back to the bus station where you started. I want to check there.”
