Continuing Shizuku’s POV*

“I just. . . was. . .”

The central square that I ran into seemed to be getting ready, and there were a lot of people.
I stop for a moment, hold my breath, and look for the person I love.
But I can’t find her. . .

“Ryleigh. . . you. . . huh?”

Instead, I found Ryleigh-kun.
Being rubbed like a normal person seems to be exhausting.
Ryleigh, who was still young, is shorter than the women who surround him.
If that happens, it will be difficult to escape successfully.
Where Ryleigh-kun frantically flew his gaze.
There. . .

“Shina. . . . san!”

I could see Shina-san’s back as she entered the back alley.
Ryleigh-kun is probably blocked by people and can’t see.
If he saw Shina-san being taken away, there’s no way he’ll let her go.
Even if the other person if from the harbor, he would use fire magic and go to Shina-san.

That’s why I. . .!
I have to go to Shina-san!

“Oh! Welcome!”

“You’re here!”

“What’s wrong? You’re so out of breath.”

“Um. . . I’m sorry, I. . .!”

“Let’s rest here!”

“Did you come running for fun?”

“Oh, how cute!”

“Uh. . . that’s not it.”

I want to follow Shina-san who disappeared. . .!
A crowd quickly formed around me, and I couldn’t move well.
I can’t speak well because I’m out of breath.
When I was impatient, a big shadow fell there. . .

“Are you okay? Mizunami-sama.”

“Ah. . . a polar bear. . .”

He’s a knight.
He grabbed me by the elbow and rescued me from the crowd I couldn’t escape on my own.
The people who were around me just a while ago were giving the polar bear knight a passionate look, but they didn’t come to surround him.
Polar bear knights don’t have an atmosphere that makes it easy to talk to them, so everyone seems to be keeping a distance.
I’m relieved to finally be able to move freely. . .
Then I took a deep breath.

There is a polar bear knight here.
That means that Shina-san is alone. . .

“Ah, what about Shina-san!?”

“Shina-sama and I were on separate trips. I was at the market, so Shina-sama should have headed here with Ryleigh. . .”
“Right now, Shina-san is alone. . . Um, someone took her. . . to a back alley. . .”

I could tell that the polar bear knight’s eye color changed at my words.

“Where is Shina-sama going?”

Low voice.

“That servant? They should have told her to return to the inn.”

“To the inn?”

“Yes. I think they told her that she doesn’t have a seat.”

I could tell that the atmosphere surrounding the polar bear knight had dropped a notch due to his clear voice.
And. . .

“I would like you to stop doing such things.”

The polar bear knight placed his hand on a nearby large street tree.
At that moment, the street tree suddenly breaks from near the base.
The polar bear knight easily lifted the tree, which seemed to be 10 meters high. . .

“Otherwise. . . . .”

. . . He stabbed toward the stone pavement.

“This tree will be the gravestone of this port.”

“Grave stone”

A sudden event and the plaza falls silent in the frozen air.
And the polar bear knight asked again.

“Where is Shina-sama going?”

“Hii. . . . ha, if it’s the wharf. . . . .”

The woman who let out a small scream responds while frightened.
The polar bear knight heard that and quickly called for Ryleigh-kun.

“Ryleigh. Mizunami-sama.”

“I’m sorry. . . it’s my fault. . .”

“No, what we should do is reflect on what we should do.”

“. . . Yes.”

After saying that, the polar bear knight starts running towards the road leading to the wharf.
That quick movement would make you want to head for it as soon as possible.
I turned my back and shouted.

“It’s the ghost. . .! Please be careful of ghosts!”

“Understood”

That knight will protect Shina-san.
I think so, but my chest is rumbling. . .

“Wah. . . that person. . .”

“. . . . Scary. . . . .”

Perhaps because the polar bear knight is gone, the frozen air slowly returns to normal.
Then the people who had surrounded me gathered around me again.

“. . . already, I wonder what it is!”

“Are you scared?”

“Hey? You’re going to the party, right?”

“. . . I’m”

In such a situation, I can’t reel like having a party.
Besides, if they said something like that to Shina-san. . .

“. . . everyone, did you see my flame turning the magic fish into ashes?”

When I frowned, Ryleigh-kun, who came to my side, smiled.
Very glamorously.
And. . .

“If you don’t want to be ashes, leave.”

. . . He said it with cold eyes.

“We weren’t happy to be pampered. I was just being quiet so that Shina-san could have a good time. Don’t get me wrong.”

The pierced log and Ryleigh-kun’s cold eyes.
When Ryleigh-kun looked around, a voice leaked out, ‘Hey!’

“Shizuku-san, let’s go back to the inn.”

“Yeah. . . That’s right. . .”

I nod at Ryleigh-kun’s words.
There’s no point in staying here anymore.
The polar bear knight will take care of Shina-san.
Surely. . . . . .

“It’s my fault. . .”

On the way back to the inn, Ryleigh-kun spilled out.

“Even though I was entrusted with her. . . and yet. . .”

Ryleigh-kun is looking like he’s about to cry. . .
I know how painful that feeling is. . .

“I want to be strong. . .”

“. . . . .yes.”

I’m sure Ryleigh-kun and I are thinking the same thing.
If we were as strong as the polar bear knight. . .
If only I had more power. . .

“. . . I want to grow up quickly.”

“Yes. . . . .”

When Ryleigh-kun grows up, he will surely be able to protect Shina-san.
When I look down at the sea while heading to the inn, I can see the sun setting.

“Shina-san. . .”

I’m sure you’ll be fine, right?

Hurst is seriously not happy. If he doesn’t get to Shina, I can already imagine the port being destroyed in a sea of fire and wooden stakes. I will be uploading the next chapter tomorrow so you will be getting an extra chapter this week.
