Traveling To The Last Days To Protect You

When Lin Tan Tan locked the iron gate, some noise was created, causing the two zombies who were standing in a daze, to immediately turn their heads, and rush towards the gate ferociously.

Lin Tantan hurriedly backed away as the two zombies hit the iron gate, stretched out their hands through the fence and opened their mouths wide open desperately. The two zombies stretched their necks and screamed, the pale and rotten face, and the pupils that shrank into the shape of needles on the pale eyeballs, all presented a rather scary scene.

Lin Tan Tan swallowed, gripped the fire axe in her hands, went closer to the gate and hit the female zombie with the axe. 

As the fire axe went closer to the female zombie's head, it waved the hand that didn't hold the takeaway and its long black nails almost caught Lin Tan Tan. She hurriedly let go; the axe remained embedded in the female zombie's head at first, then loosened and fell to the ground.

Lin Tantan squatted down and hooked the axe back with her feet. This time, she changed the method and slashed at the right hand of the female zombie from the side.

She exerted all her strength, and when the axe went down, half of the zombie's hand was chopped off, and the axe could no longer be swung. Its head got split in half like a watermelon.

Lin Tan Tan kicked the iron gate, pulled out the axe, and the female zombie fell backwards. Then she used the same way to kill the blue-clothed zombie.

It took only more than a minute to kill the two zombies, but a lot of noise was made. The main reason was that the zombies knocked against the gate too loudly. The zombies in the dormitory area at the back seemed to be coming closer. Lin Tan Tan opened the iron gate, dug the crystal nuclei of the two zombies, and then immediately closed the gate.

One of the crystal nuclei was colourless and transparent, with many impurities in it, while the other one was black. If she had not seen the Gold-type crystal nucleus a while ago, she would subconsciously think that the black one was a Water system crystal nucleus. Now she knew that the black one must be the Dark-type crystal nucleus while the transparent one might be the Auxiliary-type.

She walked towards the road along the boulevard. The entire boulevard was relatively quiet. A car was overturned on the road, as a zombie yelled at Lin Tan Tan from inside, but it was a pity that it couldn't get out.    

There were bloodstains all over the road. Several bicycles were upside down. It was unknown whether the owners were still alive or not. Some of the cars left tragic bloodstains and corpses that were completely gnawed.

There were also a few zombie corpses. Lin Tan Tan picked up the leaks and chopped off their heads. Two of them had crystal nuclei, one was Wood-type, one was purple Lightning-type, and there were no nuclei in others.

This was not surprising. According to the data of later generations, about one tenth of the zombies were born without crystal nuclei. These kinds of zombies were like humans without supernatural powers. They were the weakest and most difficult to evolve.

Lin Tan Tan continued on her way. While running, she saw that in the dormitory areas on both sides of the boulevard, there were tragedies of students being chased and bitten by zombies from time to time. She could also hear screams from time to time; coming from the dormitory buildings.

After running for a while, Lin Tan Tan finally reached the main road.

Turn right, go straight along the main road, turn left again, go straight, and you will be out of the University Town. Lin Tan Tan took off her mask, checked the map on her phone to confirm the route again, and then continued to run.

"Squeak—" There was a fierce braking sound from behind. Lin Tan Tan turned her head to see a dark green off-road vehicle rushing out from nowhere, the driver may not be very skilled, since the car almost hit a traffic light before making a drifting brake, then he reversed half of the car, adjusted its direction, and drove towards her.

Lin Tantan just looked at it and was about to look away; but the next moment she saw a swarm of zombies running out from the back of the car!

Lin Tan Tan could not think of any bad words to swear, turning back her head, she ran wildly, but this body was really useless, she felt that she had used all her strength, her legs swinging in the wind like a steaming wheel, but her speed was still not fast, and she was quickly overtaken by the off-road vehicle.

She turned her head and saw several men and women sitting in the car, all looking at her with sympathetic expressions.

Looking at the army of zombies who were only ten metres behind, Lin Tan Tan yelled in her heart. She had just said that the zombies would not be able to run fast in less than two hours of the apocalyptic outbreak. Where did these zombies that were running so fast come from?!

Seeing that the off-road vehicle was about to fade from her view, she suddenly stretched out her left hand, and a transparent light green vine shot out from the palm of her hand, instantly wrapping around the luggage rack on top of the off-road vehicle, and her whole body was pulled up.

This was the first time Lin Tan Tan had used supernatural powers since arriving in this body, and she couldn't control it well. She used a bit too much force and threw herself over the roof of the car and fell to the other side of the car. Fortunately, she used the fire axe in her right hand to hook the luggage rack at the very last moment, so that she could barely save herself from touching the ground.

As soon as she looked up, the eyes of the driver were about to pop out, looking at her in horror.

"Look ahead!" Lin Tan Tan yelled, quickly grabbing the vine and pulling herself onto the roof of the car again.

The next moment, the car brushed across a green belt, and the bushes swept across the left wing of the off-road vehicle. Although Lin Tan Tan dodged quickly, one of her arms was still swept by the bushes, and several holes oozing blood appeared on it.

Lin Tan Tan held the luggage rack tightly, and with a thought, the light green vine turned into mist and returned to her body. She took a few deep breaths, and looked at the group of zombies more than ten metres away, feeling terrified.

The zombies of the last days were too cruel!

"Who are you, get out of the car immediately!" The window below opened, and a woman poked her head out and yelled at her.

Lin Tan Tan raised the fire axe in her hands and threatened: "Stop shouting, or else we will all die together!" 

The woman did not dare to speak again; she sat back with a livid face, and closed the car window again.

The driver's driving skills were really not good, and the road conditions were not good either. There were always cars blocking the road, and the off-road vehicle had to go around them. Lin Tan Tan was almost thrown off several times, and the zombies almost caught up with them several times. She resolutely took whatever came into her hand out of the bag and threw it at them, such as milk bottles and apples, smashing them one after the other, almost knocking down those zombies, until finally there was a greater distance between the car and the zombies.

Lin Tan Tan wiped the sweat from her forehead. More than ten minutes later, the off-road vehicle stopped on the side of an empty road, and the occupants got off with limp legs. Lin Tan Tan also jumped off, trying to grab a bottle of water from her bag, but there was no bottle left. However, there was an apple left at the bottom. She grabbed it and took a bite, biting out the sweet and sour juice. She let out a satisfied breath; she was about to die of thirst.
