For now, Yan Jingxi is more concerned about what Yuan Zhanqi was up to and what his intentions are by delaying their divorce.

Yan Jingxi did not intend to remain calm: “Yuan Zhanqi, there is only two of us here. Let’s talk things through to clear any misunderstandings.”

Yuan Zhanqi poured a cup of tea for each of them and said: “There are no misunderstandings between us, it’s just that……” His voice paused as the teapot was set aside.

Yan Jingxi’s heart was lifted high: “It’s just what?”

Yuan Zhanqi looked down slightly and said: “It’s just that you blatantly brought Bai Yueguang into the company, to the point that everyone neglected my existence. Have you ever considered my feelings? Why should I give in for you guys to have a happy end!” The teacup he held with both hands was knocked heavily on the table and light yellow tea splashed onto the cuff of his white shirt.

Yan Jingxi was shocked once again by Yuan Zhanqi’s sudden temper, but what should he say?

Yuan Zhanqi did not need him to refute, rather, he continued to state: “Why don’t you think about these past years after I got married to you, what you had promised my parents when we got married, and what you have done to me after we got married. In three years, the first year, I was treated with indifference and coldly neglected by you. Then for the next two years, we lived separately. You finally lived outside, without knowing how I was still thinking about you. Sure, perhaps I was shameless to demand to get married with you at first. However, on the other hand, are you telling me that you weren’t taking advantage of my sincere feelings for you to help save your Yan family’s Tiandi Group? It’s all good now, the company is making a profit, your white moonlight came back, and you’re just about ready to start kicking me and the Yuan family away. It’s truly wonderful for you, isn’t it? I’ll have to bear all the consequences, cause after all, I deserve this for marrying you, right?”

Yan Jing’s face turned green and white, every word seemed to stab his heart.

Yuan Zhanqi had anger all across his face as he observed Yan Jingxi’s complexion. If his complexion did not change, then it would indicate that the person was heartless. Evidently, he was stirred up emotionally. After playing so many games, how could Yuan Zhan still not know which strategy would be the most intimidating? One absolutely can’t go wrong if it’s the strategy of using past memories to attack.

When he attacked Yan Jingxi as the protagonist Bai Yueguang, he precisely used the recalling old memories method at the beginning. Yan Jingxi sobbed after listening to Bai Yueguang’s entire story, where he would describe their beautiful past. It practically caused him to be incredibly touched. If not, then how could Yan Jingxi bring up the matter of divorce to Yuan Zhanqi within two days after Bai Yueguang came back.

Yuan Zhanqi said that Yan Jingxi could not refute just a short while ago, and it was justified. Yan Jingxi not only recalled what he had promised when he married the other party, but also what he had done. There seems to have been almost no interaction between them.

Yuan Zhan had sorted out Yuan Zhanqi’s memories long ago and continued to dig into the bloody facts between the two husbands.

“After we got married, have you ever brought me along to meet your friends? Have you ever personally chosen a gift for me? Have you ever personally poured me a cup of tea? Yuan Zhan was extremely angry when he was saying all that. Yuan Zhanqi should have divorced Yan Jingxi long ago. However, the original owner was soft and timid in the end, not even a little bit of assertiveness at all.

It’s true that what Yuan Zhanqi had said was entirely correct, but Yan Jingxi doesn’t feel the same.

Yan Jingxi continued his indifference: “I thought that when we got married, you were already aware that I would neglect you.”

Yuan Zhanqi was still as indignant as before: “What makes you think that I had such awareness? You are my husband, yet I have to know that you were going to be cold and indifferent to me? Neither listening nor questioning, how could a person be so heartless? Even if one raises a wolf, its heart would have warm-up by now.”

Yan Jingxi was a little shaken by what Yuan Zhanqi said: “What do you want in the end, for you to be willing to divorce me? I told you that I will compensate you.”

The words once again circled back to a single point [divorce].

Yuan Zhan knew that the time had finally come and he was not one bit careless: “I have two conditions. One is that you move back and live with me for a month. During this time, you have to listen to me. It’s all within your abilities. Afterward, if you feel that our marriage has truly reached its end, then I will happily sign the divorce papers. Second, regardless of whether we divorce or not, the live game broadcasting center must entirely be transferred to me.”

Yuan Zhan has been researching the current market for streaming games as he looked into the relationship between Yuan Zhanqi and Yan Jingxi. He needed to find a proper retreat route for his future, after all, he doesn’t have any experience in other industries but was quite good at playing games.

The two conditions are not at all difficult. The villa was originally his, thus it’s inevitable that he would go back to live there. Therefore, it does not matter if it is given to Yuan Zhanqi. As for the live game broadcasting center, it’s a department established by the company to assign family members or related individuals a position1. Direct separation would not affect the overall situation of the company. So, there is no problem giving it to Yuan Zhanqi. On this condition, he is even willing to give Yuan Zhanqi a portion of the equity shares and several high-value properties.

After a quick reflection and consideration, Yan Jingxi said: “I promise.”

What can happen in a month, nobody knows, isn’t that so?

Yuan Zhanqi knew that his plan had succeeded, so he immediately pressed the service bell to let them serve the food. He was truly hungry, he hadn’t eaten anything since last night.

From the company up until now, Yan Jingxi had followed along with Yuan Zhanqi’s rhythm. It was only when he was eating that he realized what he had promised and his lunch became dull and tasteless.

On the contrary, Yuan Zhan ate until he was quite full and the food was relatively close to his liking.

Yuan Zhan was also aware that going too far is just as bad as not enough. So after lunch, he stopped his little schemes and didn’t start anything. Being content with what just happened, he sat in Yan Jingxi’s car and they returned to the company in peace.

Before getting off the car, Yuan Zhan turn to face Yan Jingxi and put forward his request: “We agreed that you have to listen to me for this one month. Wear your wedding ring and remember to pick me up after work. If you stop doing one thing, then you will get a divorce one day later.”

Yan Jingxi: “……” Yuan Zhanqi’s changes really caught him off guard.

He told himself that Yan Jingxi was a man of integrity and would do what he said.

Yuan Zhan and Yan Jingxi separated in the elevator. The former is intending to go check out his future company, while the latter is going upstairs to handle business.

Assistant Manager Liu had been assigned to the live game broadcasting center from the beginning up to now. If he has nothing to do, then he would casually hold a meeting. At the end of the week, he would carelessly write a weekly report and send it to Yuan Zhanqi. Yuan Zhan, who has read the email, can only say that he is worthy of the pension department and does not even need to care about the earnings.

After Yuan Zhan arrived, he immediately entered Assistant Manager Liu’s office. The other party didn’t know at all that the leader would show up today. Assistant Manager Liu quickly got up to pour tea for Yuan Zhan: “Manager Yuan, how come you’re here? You also didn’t say anything.” Standing behind him silently, almost scaring him to death.

“I saw you looking quite busy so I didn’t have the nerve to say anything in case it disturbed you.” Yuan Zhan did not bring up the matter of him playing “Fight the Landlord”. For now, he still needs to understand the people in the department through Assistant Manager Liu, especially that Bai Yueguang’s very notable position.

Assistant Manager Liu was intimidated by Yuan Zhan’s phone call this morning so now he dares not to say a word of nonsense.

Yuan Zhan took the opportunity to oppress Assistant Manager Liu by making use of Yan Jingxi’s prestige.

If he didn’t, then how could an old fox like Assistant Manager Liu listen to him? Even if he listens, it was only on the surface, nothing more. He would just turn his head and it would be regarded as nothing of importance.

The original owner held an empty position and was not in charge of managing business affairs. Even his office does not have decent furnishings, instead, all of the good things were moved to Assistant Manager Liu’s side. He just went to look around, it really was awfully empty. On the contrary, Assistant Manager Liu’s office seemed homely, with a sofa, coffee table, tea-making tools, bookshelves, bonsai, all kinds of things.

Yuan Zhan sighed: “Assistant Manager Liu’s office environment is fairly good.”

Assistant Manager: “Don’t dare, it’s all because of the good leadership of President Yan that we have such a good working environment.”

Yuan Zhan did not nod nor shake his head, only had a slight smile on his face. Assistant Manager Liu was completely unaware that his flattery did not obtain the intended result.

Yuan Zhan and Assistant Manager Liu chatted casually, talking about this and that. After two hours, what topics ought to be discussed was more or less discussed and Yuan Zhan also figured out the staff teams and work distribution of the department.

Before the conversation ended, Yuan Zhan smiled and said: “From tomorrow on, I will start going to work in the company, so I will trouble Assistant Manager Liu to help me find someone to tidy up the office.”

Assistant Manager Liu responded: “ Yes, no problem. Then does Manager Yuan want to hold a meeting with the employees first, to recognize their faces?

“No need to do so today, hold it tomorrow morning at ten o’clock.”

Assistant Manager Liu immediately withdraws to make the arrangement. He was only here because of his connections so how can a mere him possibly be bigger than the boss’s madam?

Yuan Zhan didn’t stay for too long, and after knowing how many people in his department that came through the back door, he had a plan for them in his mind. He needed to make Yan Jingxi allow him to clear them all out. Employees who only take the money and did not work their hardest were not suitable for the development plan for his new company.

Leaving aside the development of the new company, Yuan Zhan has not yet divorced Yan Jingxi and he needs more observation to carry out his plan.

Bai Yueguang was currently in the department. When Yuan Zhan passed by his seat, the other party looked up at him, but Yuan Zhan didn’t give him a single glance. He was also someone who merely came through the back door, he was only thinking of dating a man inside that mind of his. Wanting to obtain a man’s attention and love, how could he even possibly have the energy and capability to focus on work.

Before leaving the office, Yuan Zhan decided to go downstairs for a stroll to get familiar with the surrounding environment.

As soon as he came downstairs, he ran into Yan Jingxi standing in the lobby on the first floor. He was shaking hands with people and had their photos taken. Furthermore, there was a reporter holding a camera recorder. Yuan Zhan hid in a timely manner and waited for people from the Tiandi Group to leave before coming out.

Yan Jingxi turned around and saw Yuan Zhan walk out of the elevator. Thinking that there was nothing important in the afternoon, he directly called out to him to go home.

“If you have nothing to do, we’ll go home first.”

Yuan Zhan: “Okay.” 

The driver drove out the car and Yuan Zhan lowered his head to find that Yan Jingxi had a ring on his ring finger.

Seeing that the time was still early, Yuan Zhan said to Yan Jingxi: “I remember that you can cook.”

Yan Jingxi had a bad feeling: “It’s just all right.”

Yuan Zhan said to the driver: “Trouble you to send us to the supermarket.”

Yan Jingxi’s premonition came true: “You want me to accompany you to the supermarket to buy food?”

Yuan Zhan shook his head: “No, you’re the one buying.”
