Chapter 7: Li Bei

According to the information that Le Yu had obtained, Li Feng had not gotten married in the past five years. Although Gu Yue had always been by his side, the relationship between the two was not clear. They did not seem to be a couple, nor were they in an ordinary superior-subordinate working relationship.

Gu Yue was more like Li Feng’s personal nanny. This could be seen from Gu Yue’s ‘meticulous’ care of Li Feng at the research institute today.

Then, who was the ‘Young Master’ that Butler Li was talking about?

Le Yu slowly followed behind them, a bold guess forming in her heart. Back then, the last time she saw her precious son was in Gu Yue’s hands, and Li Feng was there after her!

Because of Li Bei’s special status and his illness, the Li family had arranged for him to stay in a separate courtyard. Perhaps it was because of the sudden change in environment that agitated him.

Li Bei howled madly, his small body still trembling. His expression and posture told everyone at the scene that he was an abnormal child.

The doctors were at their wit’s end with the child. He was like a madman, only knowing how to scream and shout. Li Feng happened to see this scene when he walked in. His eyes were extremely cold as he looked at the doctors standing helplessly beside Li Bei and said coldly, “Are you all wooden blocks? Hurry up and calm him down!”

The doctor looked at him awkwardly. “Mr. Li, we’ve already done all we can to give him gentle treatment, but it won’t work on him, so I suggest we give him a tranquilizer directly!”

Li Feng stopped not far away from Li Bei because Li Bei started to roar again. This five-year-old child was like an injured little beast in the forest. He warily refused to let anyone get close to him, including his father, Li Feng.

“This is your idea?” Li Feng’s cold gaze was like a sharp arrow. The doctors were scared out of their wits, and they continued to persuade him with a long face.

Li Bei was too young, and his condition was special, so it was not advisable to use a tranquilizer. The side effects were very severe, and Li Feng would not allow such a situation to happen.

However, Li Bei’s illness was too serious this time. Li Feng heard his hoarse voice and quickly walked up to him. He tried to hold Li Bei, who was crazy, and said with a rare gentleness, “Li Bei, stop it. Calm down!”

Because he was being touched, Li Bei, who was struggling violently, could not hear Li Feng’s voice. He reached out his little hands and scratched wildly. Li Feng did not dare to hold him tightly because Li Bei, who did not know how to control his strength, would hurt himself directly.

The man who was omnipotent outside was a little timid at this moment. Butler Li said worriedly, “Master, just ask them to give Young Master a shot of tranquilizer! We can’t continue like this!”

Li Feng endured Li Bei’s random scratching and biting on his body. His eyebrows furrowed, and he could already foresee Li Bei’s difficulty and frustration.

While the doctors were trying to persuade him, a clear voice sounded. “Let me try!”

Li Feng raised his head and looked at Le Yu warily. Why was this woman here? Were the guards in the courtyard dead? ‘That’s right, I came over in a hurry today and didn’t have time to make arrangements.’

Le Yu did not care about Li Feng’s thoughts. She quickly walked toward Li Bei and suppressed her excitement. Looking at the child’s face, which was exactly the same as Le Lin’s, she was convinced that this was her precious son!

Le Yu’s technique stunned the doctors. They saw Le Yu reach out and press on Li Bei’s little head. His ten flexible fingers massaged Li Bei’s head in an extremely complicated way. This seemed to be a technique of Chinese medicine.

Li Feng looked at her suspiciously. After two minutes, Li Bei, who had been crying madly, had magically calmed down. His small face was full of tears, and the ferocious expression on his face slowly disappeared.

Le Yu looked at him and felt heartache. Li Bei looked so thin and weak. He was even lighter than Le Ning, who was almost miscarried.

Just like that, they watched Li Bei slowly fall asleep. After eliminating some weird gazes and sizing him up, the scene was surprisingly harmonious.

“He’s asleep.” It was only five minutes, but Le Yu felt that it was a long time.

Li Feng looked at Le Yu with a complicated expression in his deep eyes. He gently placed Li Bei back on the bed and pulled the blanket over him.

“Thank you,” he said.

Le Yu was stunned when she saw the man carefully covering Li Bei with the blanket. She only came back to her senses when she heard the man’s voice. “It’s fine.”
