Chapter 8: Family Craft

Butler Li was pleasantly surprised to see that the Little Young Master had been appeased. He quickly took the few doctors who were standing at the side and left the room. They must not wake the Little Young Master up again.

These doctors were the best in treating insomnia in the country. They had been in charge of Li Bei’s treatment for more than half a year, but the results had been minimal. They did not expect to be slapped in the face by a woman who came out of nowhere, so when they walked out of the room, their expressions were a little ugly.

This ‘top-tier doctor’ was a little too exaggerated.

The room suddenly became very quiet. Le Yu came back to her senses and explained, pretending not to care, “I was just looking for the bathroom! I heard it was very noisy here, so I came over to take a look.”

For some reason, Le Yu felt a little guilty under Li Feng’s calm gaze. This was not her usual calm and steady state.

“Is that so?” Li Feng asked.

Le Yu chuckled and suppressed the guilt in her heart. She said slowly, “What else? After all, the Li family is too big. I don’t think I’m the only one who will get lost! Besides, I’m the one who solved your urgent need!”

The way she spoke was naturally playful. She was truly a very charming woman.

Hearing this, Li Feng slowly nodded his head, as if he agreed with Le Yu’s words.

After leading her out of the room, Li Feng asked curiously, “Miss Kyra, what was that technique just now?”

Le Yu laughed. “It’s just a little craft passed down in my family.”

“That child’s body is too thin and weak. Is he malnourished?” she asked as she looked at Li Feng.

Li Feng thought about the few simple moves Le Yu had used to calm Li Bei down and said, “Kyra’s medical skills are really high. You could tell the problem with just a few glances.”

The two of them were actually testing each other out. The moves between smart people were all done in silence.

“In fact, does the child have serious insomnia?” Le Yu could no longer care about Li Feng’s suspicions. She was eager to know everything about Li Bei. Her child, raised in a family like the Li family, was actually malnourished. How ironic!

Li Feng looked at her. “How did you know?”

“Didn’t you say that I’m very accomplished in medicine? Of course, I could tell,” Le Yu said directly.

Li Feng didn’t expect this woman to be so direct and not humble at all. He choked for a moment, but slowly smiled. “Perhaps I can ask Kyra to help treat Li Bei’s illness.”

He looked at Le Yu and said with sincerity, “You can decide on the cost. In fact, I’ve already visited all the famous doctors in the country for him, but none of them were very effective.”

Le Yu frowned slightly. She didn’t really believe what Li Feng had said. He had such a large research institute in his hands. What kind of difficult disease could possibly trouble him?

Le Yu looked at Li Feng suspiciously and slowly replied, “I can. After all, he looks very cute! Who would bear to see such a little cutie fall sick?”

She also knew that by agreeing to it so directly, she might have been a little too eager and obvious. However, she couldn’t just let her baby suffer such pain.

Perhaps it was the nature of parents, but in the face of Li Bei’s serious illness, the two of them had a tacit understanding and put their child first.

They had reached a small consensus, and the atmosphere between the two of them seemed to have relaxed a little.

When they returned to the crowd, it had been almost an hour. Gu Yue had not seen Li Feng. When she realized that Le Yu was also missing, she suddenly felt a little panicked.

When she saw Li Feng and Le Yu walking in one after another, her expression was extremely ugly. She forced a smile and went up to them. “Brother Li, where did you go? Why did you come out from the back?” And you’re still following that b*tch Le Yu? Gu Yue swallowed the last sentence.

Li Feng would not hide Li Bei’s matter from Gu Yue. He said, “Li Bei’s illness acted up again, so I went to take a look.”

Gu Yue knew that although Li Feng had always been stubborn, he still cared about that little b*stard. Otherwise, with her means, this child wouldn’t be able to live for half a year in the Li family.

She pretended to be concerned and hurriedly asked, “How is Little Bei now? Is he feeling better?”

Li Feng nodded. Suddenly, he thought of something and looked at Gu Yue. “Didn’t you take care of Li Bei for a while in the past?”
