“A trap. With Mr Cheng Zhaoci as the bait,” Sun Wushe says, and feeling Jin Yue’s gaze on him, clarifies, “not the actual insectoid off the Capital planet, mind.”

Jin Yue then goes back to staring into the distance, “oh. Keep going.”

“Grade S shemales are not invincible like the insectoids usually make them out to be – at least, not mentally. He hails from basically the same background as I did – leaving the family, and a pretty mediocre life for 20 years before meeting Mr Cheng Zhaoci. I’m certain about this,” not that he wanted to know, but being Wei Zhuo’s half-brother of the same father, he still knew a lot about his brother he despised.

“He’s never actually as emotionless as he makes it look like, though this has become less of a discrepancy since he met Mr Cheng Zhaoci. At the same time, it shows Mr Cheng Zhaoci is his one Achille’s heel,” Sun Wushe pauses, asking, “do you get what I’m saying?”

“You sure are one heck of a bastard,” Jin Yue chuckles. He’s here asking if he had a plan, when he actually has his own. He doesn’t believe Sun Wushe just thought of this on the spot; the guy is as secretive and pretentious as he’s always been.

He knows those subordinates in the pirate groups are afraid of him, but would be quite relaxed in the presence of Sun Wushe, but Jin Yue thinks, he’s wrathful and cruel both on the surface and deep down, but Sun Wushe keeps everything to himself. He’d say Sun Wushe is more terrifying than he is.

“I’ve never said I wasn’t a bastard,” he just does a good job keeping up appearances.

“So you haven’t managed to isolate Jin Yue’s headquarters yet?” Asks Cheng Zhaoci.

Wei Zhuo doesn’t answer.

“Why would they even kill the hostages they have when they’re about to be caught by you?” Cheng Zhaoci furrows his brows, “what’s their end game here? They might at least end up in prison with their lives if they did not kill males.”

“Th-That’s why, they normally die on the battlefield,” answers Wei Zhuo, his sentences broken up for some reason.

In fact, Wei Zhuo is only supporting himself with one arm on the bed, with his other hand covering half of his face. His body is mostly tilted to the front, arching, “the ones who-who did it are the more radical ones. Th-the other trash that were, having some fun at the pirates, d-do nothing.”

“Oh! So what was all that infighting between pirates you talked about before, Wei-ge?” Cheng Zhaoci is pawing at the place of his dreams, feeling the touch as much as he wants to. Ah, it’s hard. Probably because Wei Zhuo is too nervous and has tensed up.

And this is all Wei Zhuo’s very own fault.

He just got off the battlefield and so took a shower on the spaceship. After changing into pyjamas, Cheng Zhaoci’s gaze has been sweeping him up and down. Remembering how Cheng Zhaoci once talked about wanting to touch his chest, he asked Cheng Zhaoci if he wanted to.

Completely naturally and openly.

Especially after he tested it out with Meng Yuele after Cheng Zhaoci confessed his interest in it that one time, and he and his childhood friend failed to see what the whole deal was. It’s just like touching any other part of the body.

Would Cheng Zhaoci refuse Wei Zhuo’s own invitation? Not likely. He’s not a chicken. So he happily gets to feeling him up.

Wei Zhuo “…”
Wei Zhuo “!!!”

No wait! Waaait! This makes no sense! It didn’t feel like this to touch the chest! It shouldn’t have! What, why? Why is Cheng Zhaoci touching it so lightly? Is it really light? He doesn’t know, but where he’s touched is all electrified and trembling! This is weird!

He is regretting offering to let Cheng Zhaoci touch him now, but he can’t go back on his words either. He can only watch Cheng Zhaoci continue; only Cheng Zhaoci is also asking him about the frontline like usual. Wei Zhuo is at his wit’s end! He can’t multitask! And he can’t refuse Mr Cheng Zhaoci!

“Yes, there was infighting.”

There was a young male who just came of age not long ago, about a few months older than Cheng Zhaoci. He’s one of those shut-in, socially anxious males, that are very rare among males.

He was kidnapped, put into quite considerable danger, and without anyone to rely on, he ended up adopting a coping mechanism – Stockholm Syndrome – becoming reliant on the shemale who kidnapped him in the first place.

“He wa-was sixty. Young, but definitely not, as young a-as the male. He could pass for his dad.”

The male ends up starting to call his kidnapper ‘gege.’ Socially anxious and fearful, after unspeakable acts were done to him on pirate terms, he doesn’t chastise or yell like the other males. He appeared to be obedient to the other pirates, but he was actually crying behind their backs when everything was over.

According to testimony from prisoners of war, the male would seek out his kidnapper every time. He wouldn’t say anything, but just follow after him. He looked safer and more relaxed like that.

Later, a few shemales went overboard and pushed the male to the brink of death. The male was revived successfully, but he killed himself almost as soon as he had the opportunity.

That was when his kidnapper suddenly snapped, and fought every single insectoid in sight like a cornered beast. He was finally put down after already killing several insectoids.

Though he did turn against the pirates, he was the most to blame for all this. He was the one who dragged the young male who should have led a reclusive but healthy life there in the first place.

They have also learned from the pirates that the rate of suicide of kidnapped males is alarmingly high.

The Federation’s forces have made a few successful rescue operations, but all of the males thus far have become unstable. The worst one is now a regular of medical pods, suffering from a severe tendency to self-harm. His parents and uncles are all keeping a close eye on him, in case he tried to kill himself again when they weren’t looking.

Preliminary psychological evaluation has also revealed a moderate-to-severe fear or hatred of shemales among them as well.

It’s almost certainly a vicious cycle.
