Su Jiaojiao had a guilty conscience when it came to Xi Yao. The captain called the Song family, and she was also anxious to get rid of them, so she made Xi Yao go in place of her.

It wasn’t easy to get along with the Song family. Xi Yao probably had a lot of conflicts with them.

Su Jiaojiao wasn’t particularly ashamed of her actions, however.

Based on Xi Yao’s farce, Su Jiaojiao knew she wasn’t overly suspicious. However, it was a fact that an educated youth had gotten into a fight with someone else because of Xi Yao after she had fallen over. Although they claimed it was because a debate had gotten out of hand, everyone knew the truth in their hearts.

[Armos D. Platypus: Sorry if the previous paragraph was confusing, but I hope you got the gist of it orz]

Not to mention the information provided by Zhao Sisi, a person who didn’t have a good relationship with Xi Yao.

It was normal that she didn’t want Xi Yao to come to her home, and it was protocol to give Xi Yao to a family willing to accept her. Who asked the captain to send her to the Song family.

Xi Yao didn’t use much strength when colliding into her. Although Su Jiaojiao was a little dissatisfied, the other party apologized, and she wasn’t forceful. She didn’t take it to heart. As long as there wasn’t a next time, that is.

Su Jiaojiao lifted her basket and continued to walk forward.

When giving the green bean soup to her two sister-in-laws, Li Xiu thanked her awkwardly. Although she was still unhappy about the family splitting, they were still family after all. Even if Li Xiu was infuriated because of that, she could put this matter aside.

And this green bean soup was really made by Su Jiaojiao herself, so she should thank her after accepting it.

On the other hand, Zhang Qian brain waves might be a little more… unusual.

If she was pettier and didn’t accept the green bean soup, Su Jiaojiao would have thought better of Zhang Qian, but she didn’t. After Su Jiaojiao sent it out, she accepted it directly. Still, she didn’t say thank you, and she took it for granted.

To be honest, Su Jiaojiao was a little unhappy.

This is the first and only time Su Jiaojiao would give Zhang Qing

anything. She wouldn’t give it to her next time!

She didn’t have to get a thank you. However, she still felt uncomfortable after Zhang Qing treated her generosity as matter-of-fact. In order not to make herself uncomfortable, let’s make others uncomfortable.

Su Jiaojiao was a person who only had her own interests in mind, but she made a decision quickly.

After that, she went to where the men were working. The two older brothers were much more pleasant. When they saw her sending green bean soup over, they thanked her happily. At any rate, they had already been brothers and sisters for 18 years. Even though the Su family had split, they had doted on Su Jiaojiao for many years. They were a bit miffed with the entire incident, but everything that should be forgotten was forgotten after a few days.

“Jiaojiao, let Dabao run the errands next time, don’t come out by yourself. He has nothing to do all day, and Xiaobao has Erbao watching over him.” Su Jianhua watched his sister wipe her sweat, her white face flushed. She wasn’t like a manly man like them, so seeing her like this made them a little distressed.

Su Jiaojiao nodded, “Well, if you still have to work tomorrow, I’ll let him send the green bean soup.”

This is a good idea.

After talking to the two brothers and Su Zhengyang for a while, she waited until they finished drinking the green bean soup or poured it into their own cups. Then, she left with an empty glass bottle. She would collect the glass bottles on the way back.

When she arrived at Zhao Sisi’s place. A few female educated youths happened to be resting and chatting. Seeing her coming over, they immediately waved, “Jiaojiao, I’m so tired today. I want to eat Liangpi.”

“Ok,” Su Jiaojiao nodded and jotted down the number of people who wanted to eat Liangpi.

“I want green bean soup~” another girl said.

“I can give you some of that too.”

“Wow! Jiaojiao, you are so kind!” Most of the girls were friendly, especially when facing a girl who gave them good food.

Discussing what to eat is probably the highlight of the day for them. Not everyone was willing to spend money, but others could also join in the fun. The crisp voices of the girls added some vitality to the dull field.

Armos D. Platypus: Phew~ this was a tough chapter to translate, and I had to resort to heavily edited MTL for some sections. I hope it wasn’t too rough of a read orz

Also, I wanted to talk to my readers about MTLing on your own. The answer is: Don’t. It’s not only because it’s disrespectful and wude to my efforts while TLing these chappies. It’s mainly because using MTL for this story is utter incomprehensible garbage unless you’re bilingual+ and can understand Chinese with high competency. (me)

PS: Please don’t call me a ‘sama’, Amaranth…it makes me feel old.
