Tang Ke couldn't have been happier to come home from school to find his mother still there. He had far too many things to tell her about today.

"The simulation cabin is the very latest model, it's somatosensory sensitivity is up to 90%!" he said cheerfully. "When an explosion went off, it scared me to death! It felt so real."

"Once you score 80 points on the simulation test, you can use a real mecha! Just the basic model, though. We're in third grade so we can only use the basic one. Sister Yanyan can already use one, isn't she so cool!"

"Mom, listen, I got sixty-four points today. My old school's simulation cabin sensitivity wasn't high enough, so it took me awhile to get used to this one. I'll definitely get 80 points in tomorrow's test!"

The boy's eyes are sparkling, his expression full of confidence.

For as long as he could remember, his father had been struggling in a hospital bed. Later, he had lost his father, and he and his single mother had been all alone in the world. This deficiency in his upbringing had made him sensitive and self-abasive. Influenced by his mother, he often chose to back down before a confrontation.

It was the first time Xinya had seen him so confident, as if the bad parts of his life had dissipated.

Very pleased, she patted his head and said, "Then I'll cheer you on."

"Mom, are you going back?" Tang Ke asked.

"Will you be scared if mom isn't here?" Xinya asked.

Tang Ke puffed up his chest. "No."

Remembering something, Xinya asked, "By the way, how are you getting along with your classmates? Are the other children in the Han family easy to get along with? "

His classmates were fine. But the Han family children... Tang Ke hesitated. There were several of them whose bearing and manner didn't seem right, but he didn't want to say it in case it worried Xinya.

"Everyone is great. Sister Yanyan takes special care of me," he said with a smile. Because he had mentioned his favorite little older sister, his smile seemed particularly bright and sincere.

Xinya didn't catch anything wrong. She set her mind at ease.

When it came time to leave the West District, she hesitated about whether to say goodbye to Patriarch Han. Then a footman approached and asked, "Are you going back?"

Xinya's heart tightened. She replied quickly, "Yes, will you call a car for me?" No taxi could enter without manor's permission.

"The master asked me to ready a car for you," the footman replied.

Hearing that she didn't have to see him, Xinya heaved a sigh of relief.

Patriarch Han watched Xinya's car leave from behind the French windows in his study and asked, "How was today?"

"Normal." Han Yanyan didn't lift her head to answer. Unlike the other children, she came straight to the study after school to learn how to handle the family's affairs.

"Did you send mother more people?," she said. "And quite a few? Is she doing badly? The Yin Family is more powerful than I thought."

Turning around, Patriarch Han asked her, "What do you think of the Yin family?"

"It's mine," Han Yanyan answered.

Patriarch Han: "..."

He walked over and gave the back of her head a smack. Han Yanyan yelped in pain.

"Most of those who brazenly set goals that don't match up to their abilities are losers."

"Fine, I spoke wrong." Han Yanyan rubbed her head. "It'll be mine sooner or later."

Patriarch Han: "..."

She quickly changed the subject. "Can I go over there and practice with mother?"

"You want to go into battle?" asked Patriarch Han.

"The best pilots are tempered on the battlefield, not trained in a playground," Han Yanyan said.

He looked at her. "Before going to the front, you need to learn to kill. The battlefield won't give you the time to adapt. "

"Killing isn't difficult."

Patriarch Han lifted his gaze to her.

A smile drifted about the corners of the little girl's mouth. "And if I say I've already killed before?"

Her father frowned. "You've never had the chance."

He controlled Han Yanyan's schedule. She had never had the chance to kill anyone. But... her eye ... Patriarch Han felt like something wasn't quite right. The eyes of his daughter, who had never before been in a position to kill, didn't look like the eyes of  someone who had never seen blood.

Han Yanyan looked away with a smile, "Then when will I get the chance to kill someone?"

"You're sure in a hurry," said Patriarch Han, "I first thought about this when I was fifteen."

"Maybe I'm better than you?"

Patriarch Han: "..."

Han Yanyan yelped again.

When all the serious things had been taken care of, Patriarch Han asked, "How is that child?"

"Silly," Han Yanyan replied, "I drew a ton of hostility toward him, and he didn't sense it at all. He can't wait to be my little brother."

"And the others?"

"Most of them seem to be able to tamp it down. I stated clearly that I would be taking care of him, and the only one who objected was my actual little brother." Han Yanyan sighed and asked rather doubtfully, "Did you do a paternity test for him?"

"I took one even with you. He's your brother, there's no doubt about it." Patriarch Han's eye twitched. "His mother's... IQ is a bit low. Just put up with it. Anyway, I don't have any expectations for him."

"With such a low IQ, she must have been insanely beautiful for you to be attracted to her, but I don't even think she's as good-looking as Aunt Xinya. I really don't know what you see in her," Han Yanyan muttered.

Patriarch Han's eye twitched again, and he resisted the urge to give her another smack. He didn't particularly want to explain to his 12-year-old daughter how he had first seen the woman when he was 18, dancing sexily and enchantingly, her youth brimming over. At that age, even if she was stupid, she still seemed cute. Unlike now, when she had gotten old and was just plain stupid.

Inferior genes overpowered superior ones. If there was a large gap in levels between a man and a woman, the one with the bad genes would definitely drag the child down.

For the two of them to have a child that was B-class probably already meant that that his genes were just that good.

"Who holds back their temper the best?" He asked, dragging the topic back.

"Han Jun, Han Wei, and Han Jingshan. The three of them are the ones who understand best. Their eyes are clear, and it's very comfortable being around them. "

"Han Jin, Han Cheng, Han Ning and Han Jing; these four are as dumb as rocks. Jealousy is written all over their faces."

"Han Yunqi and Han Shao are pretty clever. They're trying to curry favor with me by currying favor with Tang Ke."

"Most everyone else is just holding back to wait and see. Han Mingxuan wants to get ahead, but keeps cringing back. She doesn't even have the guts. Send her home if you can. "

The children of the family were undertaking a mission to get close to the future heir. And under the guidance of the current patriarch, the future heir was practicing how to manipulate the  hearts of others.

Han Yanyan didn't find it boring. On the contrary, the last time around she had already become Matriarch, so it was interesting to review her old studies of many years ago this time around.

The hearts of men and human nature, no matter when, no matter how one studied and pondered, always remained so fascinating.
