Everyone knew that Tang Ke was Han Yanyan's pet but Tang Ke himself.

He was immersed in the happiness and satisfaction of a new school and new environment. He had also made new friends. Although there were times in which Han Yunqi and Han Shao were so warm that he felt overwhelmed, or times in which they disturbed his time together with his Sister, after all, they were the first to befriend him in a new place.

Children like Tang Ke who were somewhat timid and felt a little inferior would naturally want to befriend such people when they moved to a new environment, in order to fit in.

During the weekends, families will send a car to pick up their children and bring them back. At noon, Tang Ke called Xinya from school, saying, "Don't pick me up. Sister Yanyan is arranging for a car to bring me back." He sounded cheerful. He had obviously had a good week at school.

"Alright, but be careful." Xinya said softly into her smartwatch.

"Did you catch a cold, Mom?" Tang Ke asked.

"No," Xinya said, "But my throat feels a little uncomfortable. I've got to go, but I'll see you later."

She hung up the call. The man threw the watch in her hand aside and held down her slender wrist.

Xinya's hand struggled for a moment before finally grasping onto the silk mattress tightly. In her ear, the man whispered "little rabbit". It made the lashes on her closed eyes tremble.

When Tang Ke returned to the apartment in the Han family's car, he soon discovered their new treatment cabin.

"It's for when you'll need it later," Xinya told him reluctantly.

"But this is super expensive," Tang Ke worried. He had no memories of the wealthy times when he had been a child. By the time his memories began, his family had already been in trouble.

And a treatment cabin wasn't a one-time investment. The body repair fluid it used was a continuous long-term expense.

There was no getting around the matter. Once her son was older, she would no longer be able to deceive him, so Xinya told the truth. "Your uncle gave it to us. He's paying for the repair fluid as well."

She was afraid that Tang Ke would ask why, and why his uncle was being so generous. But Tang Ke was still innocent and naïve, and didn't think too much of it.

"What a nice person Uncle is," he said cheerfully. Uncle was Sister Yanyan's father. They were such a super nice father and daughter.

Xinya lowered her gaze and said, "Mn".

When she asked about Tang Ke's school, everything was fine. He was smart and studying hard. This week, he had caught up with the progress of his class and touched a basic mecha for the first time.

When asked about his classmates and friends, Tang Ke kept saying "I've got friends" and "Sister Yanyan is very kind to me". As for Han Jin and Han Cheng, who were mean to him, who deliberately called him a "poor leech", and who tripped him up whenever he boarded the ship, he didn't say anything about them.

He was all grown up now. He shouldn't worry his mother.

When he asked how his mother had been this week, Xinya said lightly, "I've just been tidying up the house."

"I'm going to be be a little busy these next few days, so it'll take some time to find a job."

"But don't worry about the money. We have enough savings to live on."

"That's good." Tang Ke breathed a sigh of relief. "No need to hurry, Mom. You can look for a job when you're not so busy."

Xinya lowered her head slightly.

She didn't understand either. She was old compared to Patriarch Han's other lovers. She really didn't have any advantages compared to those younger ones, but these days, her cousin was coming over very frequently. It was for this reason that he had arranged for a treatment cabin here for her.

Raising a hand, she stroked her smooth arm. The body repair liquid was more expensive than the beauty liquid in an ordinary beauty salon. It's effects were of course excellent, and on top of that all the repair liquids Patriarch Han provided were the best of their grade. Xinya felt like the skin on her face was firmer and that she looked even younger than before.

Her body was smooth and flawless, without a scar in sight.

He said that he had never done this to anyone else. But when she wept and begged, he never took pity and stopped.

Why, why only her?

"Aunt Xinya just added a treatment cabin to her home," Han Yanyan said, propping up her chin.

Patriarch Han didn't even blink. "And?"

"All the most recent records of the treatment cabin belong to Aunt Xinya," she continued.

Her father finally lifted up his gaze.

Han Yanyan sighed. "My little rabbit is still alive and kicking. Don't break your little rabbit."

"Don't stretch your hand out too far." Patriarch Han lit a cigarette.

"Then don't give me so much authority," she said. "It was quite scary suddenly finding out that I had been granted so many permissions that I was a little scared. I suspected your hand might have slipped."

"Those children aren't enough for you to practice on. As long as you bring them up well, they'll listen to you," said Patriarch Han. "From now on, you'll allowed to take part in official affairs."

The last time around, Han Yanyan had won her father's approval at the age of sixteen  and been given greater authority. With that last round behind her, everything was easy this time. If it wasn't for fear of scaring her father, she would in fact be capable of taking over now.

As for whether she was too precocious or too amazingly talented, hah. You just had to trust in a man's ingrained pride and confidence in his own genes. It was only natural that his carefully cultivated heir of his own blood should be so formidable.

A new week began.

Tang Ke returned to the manor on Sunday night, slept sweetly, and looked forward to the start of a new week. On Monday morning, the little boy stepped onto the spaceship in high spirits.

Han Yanyan had arrived early that day and was sitting in her usual spot, her eyes closed.

"Sister Yanyan, morning!" Full of energy, the young boy ran over to sit next to her. In the past week, Han Yanyan had always had him sit there, so in the eyes of the boy it had basically become his exclusive spot.

"Go sit at the back." Han Yanyan said coldly, not opening her eyes.

Unable to respond completely, Tang Ke uttered subconsciously, "Sister, it's me..."

"It's you I'm talking about. Didn't you hear me?" Han Yanyan opened her eyes, looked at him coldly, and said, slightly disgusted, "Go sit at the back."

Tang Ke heard Han Jin snigger. In a daze, he made his way to the last row. The whole way, Han Yanyan didn't turn to look back at him even once.
