Chapter 025 - The 8th Zodiac House (1)

He Shichen was stunned beyond words.

Devastated, He Shichen sent a red envelope to Chu Qianli and was unable to recovered from the shock for a very long time.

The adults didn’t think much about it. They just assumed that Chu Qianli was lucky. They even praised about her skills as an astrologist. They would not give serious thoughts as to whether the dice had anything to do with the stock market. Once they denied that metaphysics existed, they would look for all kinds of excuses for coincidences.

This was, however, not the first time for He Shichen.

He had experienced the explosion of the glass; he heard about her divination for their schoolmate; then he witnessed her guessing the food market. He knew full well that these were no coincidences. There was no such thing as three coincidences in a row. This was the real deal.

After He Yuanyang had sent over the red envelop, he joked, “What a waste. I should have you guessed what is going to happen this coming week. Just think about all the money that I could have made.”

Chu Qianli said in the most serious tone, “It’s a difference price looking into the future. Plus, I will only be able to see the trend.”

The astrology dice were accurate for current matters. The future, on the other hand, is like flowing water. There are many unstable factors. Seeing accurately into the future requires more complicated divination means.

He Yuanyang was a little dazed. “Oh? Then what is the future trend?”

Chu Qianli reached out her hand toward He Yuanyang.

He Yuanyang looked at her, at a loss.

Chu Qianli said softly, “Second Uncle, you always pay before a divination. Once we have the outcome, there will be no refund.”

He Yuanyang not sure what to make of that but sent her the money. “Alright, alright, alright. Let’s see how the future differs from what I think.”

He Yuanyang didn’t send her another red envelope this time. He transferred her a lump sum.

Chu Qianli accepted that happily and pulled out her astrology dice one more time. This time she got Uranus, Taurus, and 11th House.

“Give me a second. Let me test it out first.” After studying the dice, Chu Qianli pulled out her cellphone and checked the astrological chart (horoscope). She wanted to make sure that her interpretation was as accurate as possible.

He Yuanyang, “This is taking longer than earlier.”

Chu Qianli, “That’s because the future is very complicated.”

Chu Qianli pondered over it, combined the fragments of information in her brain, and described it in details, “Next week, certain electronics or digital currency will be good choices. That or certain electronics precious metals. But since Uranus is very powerful right now, the prices will go up and down a lot. There are chances of making it big overnight but there are also possibilities of losing it all.”

“Bitcoin? Gold? Silver?” He Yuanyang stared at the computer screen. “Bitcoin had been dropping for a while now and I had been contemplating about when to get in it. Sounds like it is going to go up?”

He Yuanyang’s attitude was more similar to entertaining a child. He would not buy into what Chu Qianli told him 100%. Rather, he would combine that with his own experience.

Granted, he nicely put up the show for her. Smiling, he said, “Make it big over night and losing it all are quite different. Are you sure you can’t give me a window of when to go in?”

Chu Qianli griped, “Second Uncle, we talk about plans of the Heaven, conditions on earth, and efforts from men. You’ve got to do your part too.”

This was one of Chu Qianli’s most commonly seen questions. Questions such as “When am I going to become rich?” or “Will I pass this examination?”, etc. were all bad questions and were tough to answer.

Divination would provide one with a general direction but, at the end of the day, it merely serves as a guidance. If she was to tell someone that they would pass the examination and the person stopped studying. The future would also be altered.

As an astrologer, her answers, too, would also have an effect on the outcome.* How to balance between giving you useful information while not creating a rippling effect has always been a challenge for a numerologist. It is not uncommon when good intentions turn out paving the road to hell.

Regardless, Chu Qianli had accepted money from He Yuanyang and, as such, she had very intact professionalism. She studied some more patiently and finally said to him. “As there will be a lot of ups and down, focus on the second half of the week.”

She had already let him know of the possible time. When He Yuanyang would be able to take advantage of the opportunity would depend on his own ability.

Many had encountered the opportunity without the ability to take advantage of them. That, too, would bring about feelings of regrets.

He Yuanyang nodded. “Not bad. I’ll pay it some attention then. It had been a while already.”

He Yuanyang had been meaning to get into it already. Chu Qianli’s words gave him more encouragement to follow through.

The party stopped talking about the stock market and divination any further. The chatted about small, everyday things, laughed and parted ways.

As He Yuanyang saw He Zhenghe and the others to their cars, he even waved at Chu Qianli and said jokingly to her, “If I really make it big overnight, I will for sure pay you for more divination big data analysis!”

Chu Qianli’s eyes beamed. She bowed to him docilely and said, “May wealth be with you.”
