He Shichen, standing next to the car, opened up the car door for Chu Qianli to get in expressionlessly. There were still a lot of his mind and he was still in shock from the collapse of his world view.

The way he saw it, he had two options right now:**

1.     Conclude that Chu Qianli was really a hustler and an expert in financial investment, one that even exceeded He Yuanyang by leaps and bounds.

2.     Conclude that Chu Qianli was an astrologer and that metaphysics could trump science.

If He Shichen was to choose option #1, he would have to accept the fact that Chu Qianli was better them him in all ways, including his ability in investment that he prided about. But, right now, he was leaning toward option #1.

That was incomprehensible for one who had a strong self-esteem.

Perhaps he felt that admitting that he was the weaker one of the two would at least be more reasonable than denying materialism.

He no longer wished to figure out what Chu Qianli was up to right now. He only wished that his world would be normal again.

He Shichen was very quiet on their way back; zoned out, one would almost stay.

The car had excellent sound proof between the front and back seats of the car and the chauffeur pretty much couldn’t hear the passengers’ conversation.

Chu Qianli asked curiously, “Are you investing in the stock market with Second Uncle? Perhaps you should buy some next week too.”

Chu Qianli had no idea how to manage an account at all. She could only rely on the stars to glean information. As for actually converting said information into money, that would fall into the category of a professional’s ability. He Shichen has stronger luck in wealth than He Yuanyang’s next week. Perhaps he was the better one to rely on.

He Shichen turned his head toward her slowly. “Are you insulting me right now?”

Chu Qianli was dumbfounded. “If helping someone make money is an insult, I wish someone will come and insult me.”

He Shichen’s eyes darkened. His lips tightened and he asked in his quivering voice, “If you are so mighty, why don’t you just buy it yourself?

“You are omnipotent, aren’t you?”

Even though in his heart of heart he refused to believe it, but he knew that she possessed the ability to see into the future.

He Zhenghe and Ye Zhen might thought that it was nothing more than child play but it was not He Shichen’s first rodeo.

Mankind had deep fear for the unknown and one would become perplexed once their belief had been shattered.

Chu Qianli replied seriously, “No, only god is omnipotent. Obviously, I am not a god.”

Chu Qianli thought about it for a bit and rubbed her chin. “Hmmm, I am omniscience among mankind but not omnipotent. At most I will be a demigod or half fairy?”

Chu Qianli prided herself as top notch among numerologists but she was, after all, just a human. She had her limits.

He Shichen’s heart roiled. He said in surprise, “How’s that not sufficient already?!”

“That’s a misunderstanding from you outsiders. You always feel that divination is omnipotent. You are not able to shake the limitations of your knowledge. You either reject it entirely or fawn over it……”

Seeing the odd look on He Shichen, she explained helplessly, “It will make more sense if you look at divination like a science discipline. I might be strong in this field, but that is not saying that I can achieve anything and everything.”

She was but a human who was addicted to the stars. That did not mean that she was the universe itself.

She ability came from many astrologers before her time as well as gifts from the stars. She has yet to let it get to her head to a point of seeing herself as omnipotent.

“I don’t think you will be able to get it as you don’t have the spiritual talent.” Chu Qianli scratched her head, disturbed. “But I can explain why I am not dabbling into the stock market myself. It is because my attributes gravitate too much in the 8th zodiac house. I can never retain money. I am destined to take money from others for life. As such, I will still have an affluence life.”
