The students in the class started to take off and only a few stayed behind in the corner.

Chu Qianli froze in front of her desk and couldn’t even cover up her surprised look.

Qi Yan’s words reminded her of what it felt like when she first started learning divination. She understood every single word separately but, when they were all put into a sentence, she had no idea what they meant. Stupefied, she asked, “What do you mean by that?”

Qi Yan placed her both hands on the desk, leaned forward, and said calmly. “Boys don’t have that much more over girls. I am just suggesting you to be more fluid when it comes to gender.”

Chu Qianli, “……”

Chu Qianli started freaking out a little. She looked over to her deskmate for help. She was mortified.

Tan Muxing, too, had a numb look on him. He mouthed to her wordlessly – RUN!

“So, what do you think?” Qi Yan pulled her arms back and wanted to walk around the desk over to where Chu Qianli was.

Startled, Chu Qianli hid behind Tan Muxing. Using her polar-bear like deskmate as an obstacle between herself and Qi Yan, she pleaded in frantically. “Alright, I give up. I will be honest with you. You are right that boys don’t have much more over girls but I simply drool over their bodies. Wuwuwu……

“You are outstanding, in both looks and abilities but no! I really can’t!” said Chu Qianli with determination.  Shaking her head like a rattle drum, she hid nervously behind Tan Muxing.

Noticing that Chu Qianli was freaking out, Qi Yan stopped trying to get any closer to her. She said slowly, “That is not your fault. Much like you, I drool over their bodies as well. I don’t particularly think they are so wonderful.”

Tan Muxing felt very awkward and said weakly and fragilely, “…… Can you two please not discuss this in front of me?”

That seemed to be a private subject between females. He only wished he could disappear on the spot.

Still using her deskmate as her shield, Chu Qianli caught the keyword and asked quickly, “If you are just like me, then why did you say what you said?”

As she recalled, Qi Yan was the female lead of a romance novel with a strong female lead; not a GL novel!*

Qi Yan said honestly, “Because of your strong ability in divination. As such, I am willing to compromise.”

Chu Qianli relaxed instantly. She walked out from behind Tan Muxing and said helpless, “Friend, if a divination is what you are after, you didn’t need to say those shocking words.”

Chu Qianli instantly understood that Qi Yan wasn’t interested in her. It was probably her ability that Qi Yan was after.

Chu Qianli opened up her bag and pulled out her divination tools. She planned to put in some overtime. “So what is your question?”

Qi Yan smiled and said, “Darling, I don’t only have one question. I would like you to be my divinator on a permanent basis.”

Chu Qianli, “……”

“What is it that you are after? Money, power, or status? I don’t have full control of my family business yet but I can promise to split half of whatever I have with you.” Qi Yan thought about it some and went on to say, “Of course, if you prefer pretty boys, that will be fine too. I can do my best to provide for you whatever you want.”

Chu Qianli, “……”

As the conversation became more and more absurd, He Shichen finally couldn't help but interrupt her. “Qi Yan, that’s enough. Stop with your dangerous temptations toward a minor!”

Qi Yan turned around. She raised her brows slightly when she saw He Shichen and said to him, unperturbed, “Aren’t we all minors here? What’s so dangerous about what I have said?”

He Shichen frowned and said, “She had what she needs to focus on right now. And she has her parents providing for her. She didn’t need whatever you are offering to her.”

“I never know that you have such a sense of righteousness in you.” Qi Yan was surprised. She looked at He Shichen, then at Chu Qianli. Suddenly, it dawned on her. “…… Wait, wait. Are you the original child?”
