Chapter 006 - And the lethality of three methods progressed in that same order. (1)

Downstairs, He Zhenghe had just finished his call with the school and he was now calling his private doctor to come over and check on He Shichen.

Yu Shen and Aunty Li also came down to check on the injured one and the kitchen. Luckily, He Shichen’s injury was not serious other than some slight scratches on his face, much like those left by a cat.

Yu Shen rushed into the kitchen to check on He Shichen. “Oh, you silly child. Why didn’t you let Aunty Li know when you needed something? Who’d put hot water directly into a glass?”

Aunty Li blamed herself. “Aiya, it was all my fault. I forgot to mention that we don’t use this machine for our drinking water so it’s temperature is higher than normal…”

This machine was meant for kitchen use and there was another water dispenser outside. He Shichen would not otherwise have walked inside of the kitchen if he wasn’t looking for a glass.

Both the kitchen and He Shichen were a mess. He felt uncomfortable and embarrassed under the adults’ care. He only wished he could bury himself up right now and, at the same time, felt very perplexed.

It was a coincidence, right?

He had thought of Chu Qianli as an avenger at first. Then he started thinking that she was silly. Now he felt that she was a special agent who was able to make a glass explode remotely. He was baffled. He thought battles within prominent families were supposed to be verbal. This was getting physical on just day one?

He brain was a mess and he felt helpless. Indeed, he had the urge to shout out “Destroy! World!”

Inside the bedroom on the second floor, Chu Qianli was very pleased with her new room. It was brightly-lit with a soft and large bed, upscale and classy bookshelf and desk. There were cozy rug and pillows in a corner where she could curl up in and read or play video games.

The bedroom had an attached walk-in closet and bathroom. Her clothing had long since been straightened out. Granted, she didn’t have a lot of those to begin with either. Collapsing onto the big bad, she couldn’t begin to say how happy she was.

Chu Qianli had transmigrated into a novel for over 10 years and was finally able to live a wealthy life. That had washed off a bit of her blue feelings from leaving the village.

Once upon a time, she was a renowned astrologist who died an early death. She was rebirthed into a novel along with her memories from her previous life. Her name in this world was “Chu Qianli”. She quickly noticed that new body was very unusual and was able to figure out the original owner’s fate basing on her star chart.

Her fate was very similar to a character in a book, including the name. Both of them were Chu Qianli.

Chu Qianli was a female supporting character in a strong female lead novel. Due to some reasons, she had been separated from her birth family for many years and was, therefore, cowardly and weak. After she had been reunited with her family, she started developing feelings for He Shichen.

He Shichen was nice to her because of guilt and that he decided that she was harmless. The female supporting character, however, mistook that as love. She had never seen a man so attractive before and it was difficult to contain her girly excitement when they lived under the same roof day in and day out. She even wanted to have her real parents to set the two of them up.

Her parents felt that it was a good idea at first as well but that triggered negative emotions from He Shichen, which led to a series of unpleasant events. A female supporting character was, after all, just that and would never be someone that the male lead would be interested in.

He Shichen finally decided to severe his ties with the He family, left the big mansion all by his lonesome, and started his own business from scratch. The original female supporting character still went to visit him frequently but that only pushed him further away and less and less willing to visit the He family.

Of course, those were the original plot line and had nothing to do with the current Chu Qianli.
