Chapter 4 - It Was Very Unfortunate For Chi YunChen To Have Married Such A Wife (2)

Zhao DaShun had been a good-for-nothing for the longest time. Never mind about all sorts of petty crime, when he was still in school, he had once tried to rape a female student. He was finally subdued by the teachers and other students, then they took him to the police station. He spent quite a bit of time in prison for that.

After being released from the prison, Zhao DaShun hadn’t changed at all. In fact, he had only gotten worse. Had it not been the relationships of the village head, he’d still be in prison right now. 

With a reputation like that, naturally no girls would dare to marry him. Which was why he was still single at 27. 

Hao ChunRong glanced over at the hut soon as she finished saying that.

Even though Su Man-er had already been married once, and her reputation was ruined after this incident, it was okay so long as her son could get himself a wife. 

She trusted that Su Man-er would have to divorce Chi YunChen and marry her son after today’s incident. 

Su Man-er wasn’t a girl from this village, and words had it that her family was quite wealthy. Hao ChunRong was okay being in-laws with a wealthy family.

“Hao-shen, your DaShun doesn’t really have much in terms of reputation, alright?” said Chi YunChen as he gave Hao ChunRong a cold look, his tone was cold and mixed with a hint of sarcasm.

The crowd around them looked at Hao ChunRong with a sense of irony. They all agreed in their mind.

One of the villagers even chimed in, “Yeah, your DaShun had no reputation to speak of.”

Hao ChunRong choked, and her look froze for a bit. 

But after taking a deep breath, she carried on with her neck stiff. “What are you talking about? What do you mean by my son has no reputation to speak of? My DaShun is educated at the very minimum! He has a bright future ahead of him! And that slut Su Man-er, how dare she seduce my son! My poor son, being seduced by a woman like Su Man-er!”

The crowd around them, “……”

That Hao ChunRong was just pushing her luck now. Everybody knew that her son was always crazy for women. He was probably having the time of his life right now.

Having said that, Hao ChunRong gave Chi YunChen another look and said, “We have tried to talk you out of marrying a woman like Su Man-er. She just didn’t look like the kind who’d make a good wife. You should have listened to us and married XinXin instead. XinXin is mature and virtuous. Girls like that make good wives.”

Hao ChunRong and Gu ChunMei were friends. When she learned that Qiao XinXin was fond of Chi YunChen, she even wanted to be her matchmaker and pair the two up together. Unfortunately, Chi YunChen only wanted to marry Su Man-er, his fiancée, and wouldn’t consider Qiao XinXin at all.

“Aye, forget about it. It was Chi YunChen’s own decision. I felt that my niece wasn’t a bad girl either, but who knew she’d pull something like that? Well, it’s all fate. Chi YunChen was very unlucky to have married a wife like that,” Gu ChunMei said as she sighed and lamented. 

The crowd around them also felt bad for Chi YunChen. Chi YunChen had spent so much money to marry his wife, who’d have thought she’d commit such a corrupt act?

Li CuiHua, gloating, looked over at the hut and said all of a sudden, “Aiya, let’s stop with the chitchatting and ‘invite’ Su Man-er out right away. Are we going to let her just kept hiding in there?”

Li CuiHua couldn’t wait to see Su Man-er with Zhao DaShun and couldn’t wait for Chi YunChen to be confronted by the truth. 

She figured that Chi YunChen would have no reason not to believe it once he had witnessed his wife with another man. And he would, no doubt, be devastated then.

She loved seeing his family suffer. As long as they were suffering, she’d be happy. 

“What are you talking about, Aunty? You said I am hiding inside the hut? Why would I be hiding inside the hut?” came a lovely female voice. 

The woman’s voice stunned everybody a little. One by one, they turned their heads in the direction where the voice came from. 

When they saw Su Man-er standing there, all the eyes widened in disbelief.
