Hu YuJiao took a deep breath secretly and shook her head. With a look of grievance, she said, “It wasn’t me. I didn’t do that Third Brother. I have no idea why Lil' Duck Egg would want to smear my name like that, but I have never asked her to do such a thing.”

She looked over at Lil' Duck Egg as she said, “Why are you trying to smear my name like that, Lil' Duck Egg? What have I ever done to you that made you want to do that to me?”

Standing next to her, Li CuiHua’s eyes had also widened.

She looked over at Hu YuJiao, shocked, then immediately sided with Hu YuJiao and said, “It must be Su Man-er. It was Su Man-er who told Lil' Duck Egg to smear your name. Don’t worry, YuJiao, we are all here today for you. We would not let Su Man-er succeed in her plot against you!”

“Hey now, Aunty. Aren’t your words a bit problematic? When Lil' Duck Egg smeared my name by saying that I was getting it on with Zhao DaShun in the hut you said she was telling the truth for sure and insisted that I was having an affair. The crowd looked at Su Man-er and sided with her, “That’s right, Li CuiHua, you can’t play favoritism like? That’s not being very decent.”

“Yeah, Li CuiHua, even if you don’t like Su Man-er, you can’t do that to her. You just want to pin everything onto her. That’s not justice, don’t you think?”

“I….” Li CuiHua wanted to add something else when Lil' Duck Egg fished out a 5-cent coin from her pocket and threw it onto the ground as she shouted loudly, “I didn’t try to smear YuJiao-jiejie’s name. This was the five cent that YuJiao-jiejie had given to me and I am giving it back to her now!”

She threw her arms back over her head again after she had said that and mumbled, “No, don’t cut off my tongue. Go take it up with YuJiao-jiejie.”

Chi YunChen looked at the 5-cent coin then took a step forward and picked it up.

He looked over at it front and back. Suddenly, his face darkened and he said to Hu YuJiao, “This is the coin that I had given to you. The money that I had given to you somehow ended up with Lil' Duck Egg, what do you have to say for yourself?!”

Hu YuJiao wanted to shake her head and continue to play her pity card. 

Chi YunChen, on the other hand, pointed at a very vague “Yuan” character that was scribbled on the coin and said, “There’s a ‘Yuan’ character on this coin. It was probably put on it by someone who had used this coin in the past. I clearly remember this mark! Hu YuJiao, what have the Chi’s ever done to you? What made you want to set up my wife like that?!”
