Chapter 8 – Fight On, Little Peach Blossom

It couldn’t be that after turning into the little child Zhao Yan, the jade scroll didn’t recognize him anymore?

Shen Qingxian had already come to the conclusion that the jade scroll’s brain was slow on the uptake, and now, with this, his dislike for it grew greater. 

But he didn’t want to change back to his true form. When he wasn’t suppressing his cultivation, few people dared to directly look at him; however, if he suppressed his cultivation while maintaining his original appearance, even if the Secret Land of the Setting Moon didn’t collapse, it would become very inconvenient for him to act.

As he stood still, Su Yu called out to him, “Zhao Yan, come and look!”

Shen Qingxian gathered his thoughts and followed after him. He’d wait a bit longer; maybe there were some conditions that hadn’t been met yet, such as how long they had to stay in this secret realm for it to be considered as “entering” it. 

Su Yu had found a beautiful cluster of flowers. The flower grew low and had no branches and leaves; it looked like a large patch of snow on the ground, absorbing the bright sunshine and refracting it into a clear brilliance. 

Su Yu stared at them and said, “His Honorable Lordship will definitely like these!”

Such a holy and pure “little snowflake” would definitely please His Lordship. 

Shen Qingxian smiled and said in his heart: Your Lordship doesn’t like this kind of mourning color.

Su Yu expressed regretfully, “I really want to take some back to give to His Lordship.”

Shen Qingxian said, “We should concentrate on cultivating, so as to live up to the high expectations of His Lordship.”

Su Yu immediately cheered up. “Yes! Zhao Yan is much more sensible than me!”

The big boss didn’t want to accept this praise.

As they were about to leave, the “pure” little snowflake suddenly exploded, and a sharp claw grasped Su Yu’s ankle.

Su Yu was surprised, and upon turning his head, his little face became as white as paper.

What little snowflakes? A fierce monster bared its teeth, lying in wait for them.

“Run!” Su Yu shouted to Shen Qingxian frantically, “Zhao Yan, run!”

Such a big guy, how could they fight it?! He had already been caught, so he couldn’t drag Zhao Yan into it as well. 

How could Shen Qingxian run? Taking care of such a small thing…he wouldn’t even have to move a finger to do so. 

But for Su Yu and Zhao Yan, these two children, it really was terrifying.

Shen Qingxian wondered: This fierce beast looks as if it has reached the second level. How could it appear at the entrance of the secret realm?

His face was pale, his forehead was dripping with sweat, and his soft hair was plastered against his cheek. His whole person looked like a complete mess. 

“Zhao-Zhao Yan…” Su Yu gasped and spoke to the child next to him, “Keep running and don’t look back!”

Shen Qingxian looked at his bright eyes and felt his heart soften: What a lovely little peach blossom.

Right at this critical moment, the light of dawn shone up ahead.

Shen Qingxian pretended to be surprised and said, “There’s someone there! Su Yu, there’s someone up ahead!”

Su Yu followed his gaze and sure enough, soon saw faint shadows of people up ahead. 

“Help!” The little peach blossom shouted frantically for help, attracting the attention of the cultivator up front. 

There were five or six people ahead, more than enough to defeat this three-clawed beast!

Even though Su Yu was extremely tired, he now exploded with amazing strength and pulled at Shen Qingxian, starting to run for their lives once again. 

They were making a lot of noise, which allowed those cultivators to also notice them. When they saw this scene, they immediately took out their magic weapons and attacked the fierce beast together!

A second-level fierce beast was fatal for Su Yu, but it was a good training experience for the cultivators. 

Up front, the fight commenced, with sparks of blue light flying everywhere, and in the back, Shen Qingxian placed Su Yu behind a big tree.

Shen Qingxian glanced behind him and lowered his head to cover the emotions in his eyes.

They had survived this disaster? He was just afraid that they were stepping into another abyss.

By the time Su Yu could stand up, the battle up ahead had also reached its end.

With a last desperate roar, the fierce beast fell to the ground. The several cultivators panted for breath, looking very relaxed.

Su Yu was very impressed and said, “I also want to be this powerful!”

Shen Qingxian smiled.

Su Yu went up to them and said, “Thank you so much, seniors!”

He bowed in a dignified manner, really grateful for the help.

Each of these cultivators came from different sects, and they had gotten to know each other after entering the Secret Land of the Setting Moon, after which they had decided to travel together. 

The tall and thin man was named Wang Yu, and he was a very talkative person.

He knew a lot and explained a lot of things, coaxing Su Yu, an ignorant child, into looking at him with eyes full of admiration.

There was also a slightly plump cultivator named Li Sun, who kept trying to get close to Shen Qingxian. Shen Qingxian pretended to be afraid of strangers and followed right behind Su Yu the entire time. 

Su Yu even said to Shen Qingxian, “Zhao Yan, don’t be afraid. Wang-dage and Li-dage are both good people.”

Shen Qingxian still stuck close to him. 

With a big brother’s demeanor, Su Yu said, “Zhao Yan is afraid of strangers, please don’t mind, Wang-dage, Li-dage.”

Li Sun stared at Shen Qingxian while replying, “I don’t mind, I don’t mind, we’ll get to know each other slowly.”

Within a single day, Su Yu had taken these life-saving benefactors to be good big brothers.

After darkness fell, the real faces of these good big brothers were revealed. 

They probably drugged their dinner, to ensure that they would have nothing to fear, but in fact, Shen Qingxian had already long cleared out the drugs in Su Yu’s meal. 

So when Wang Yu tied Su Yu up, Su Yu opened his eyes.

Wang Yu paused.

“Let me go!” Shen Qingxian shouted deliberately, in order to let Su Yu know what was going on.

Su Yu immediately woke up and saw the rope tied around him. He was stunned, and asked, “You…what are you….what are you guys doing?”

“What are we doing?” Wang Yu laughed. “A peach blossom yao, and a green willow yao… You two are very valuable.”

Su Yu’s eyes widened. “Wang…Wang-dage, what are you talking about?”

Wang Yu pinched Su Yu’s white and tender cheek as he said, “It’s only you little yao that are so simple.”

Su Yu was naive but not stupid; having already fallen into this situation, what wouldn’t he be able to understand?

But he didn’t dare to believe it, and his eyes were still full of disbelief!

Wang Yu had shed his daytime personality, and was now wearing a wretched and obscene smile.  “You two are very good-looking, and you’ll appear even more mesmerizing once we use some drugs to force you to mature a bit.”

Li Sun stared at Shen Qingxian in a creepy way, and Shen Qingxian made himself look scared and timid.

“Hey, Old Wang,” Li Sun asked his companion, “let’s sell one and keep one bei.”

Wang Yu slapped him on the head. “Behave a bit, they’re both worth money!”

Su Yu had managed to completely recover his senses at this time. He looked at Zhao Yan, who was trembling in fear, and felt as though a knife was plunging into his heart. 

“You… You…”

Now understanding what was going on, Su Yu’s eyes turned red, and a towering rage burned in his chest! 

He had really experienced too many mishaps today.

First, he had been lured over by the immaculate flower into falling into the path of the fierce beast. Su Yu angrily demanded, “Let him go.”

Wang Yu wasn’t afraid of him at all. “Heh heh, little peach blossom, I see that you really want to do things the hard way!”

As he finished speaking, he whipped out at Su Yu.

Although Su Yu had pure and strong spiritual power, in the end, he lacked practical experience, so he had to completely rely on ruthless strength to gain the upper hand. 

Wang Yu didn’t want to hurt him; he was afraid that he wouldn’t be able to sell him at a good price if he did, so he retreated step by step instead, looking as if he had been suppressed.

At this time, Li Sun grabbed Shen Qingxian and threatened loudly, “Do you want to see him die?”

Su Yu suddenly stopped, his eyes clearly stating his status as a senior to Zhao Yan. “Don’t hurt him!”

Wang Yu took the opportunity to move close to him, then tying him up with the whip. “Then behave for me!”

Su Yu’s eyes opened wide, turning bright peach red, filled with reluctance and regret.

Shen Qingxian felt that it was almost time. 

He was about to take action when…..

At that moment, a gust of wind suddenly blew in, and a little crimson stained the already pitch-black night. A hard-to-describe sweet smell wafted through the cold air. 

Wang Yu, Li Sun, and the others went on alert and looked around everywhere. “Who…is…”

A red leaf stained with blood fell, and a shadowy silhouette floated down amidst the cold wind.

His black hair was like ink, his skin was as pale as clouds, and his quirked-up lips were affectionate but dangerous.

He bent down, carefully picked up Shen Qingxian, and asked in a low voice, “How did you get yourself into such a sorry state?”

His voice was deeply intimate and graceful, as if he were a lover whispering into his ear.

Shen Qingxian looked up at him…..

How come his eyes have turned blue?

It is so ugly.
